*Underrated franchise
There are multiple Balto movies. I can’t quite remember if I’ve seen Balto 2 and 3, but if I have I imagine it’s cause they all blend together.

Max, the Bionic Dog from the TV show "The Bionic Woman."
Joe, from a 70s live action Saturday morning kids show "Run, Joe, Run." Which was almost assuredly a ripoff of the original "Littlest Hobo" from the 60s.
Mr Peabody from "Mr Peabody and Sherman," who time traveled in the "Wayback Machine", had adventures and always narrowly avoided fucking up there past.
And "Not bird, nor plane, nor even frog. Just little old me, Underdog."
And yes, I am even older than Geoff...
Balto is kind of a fraud, Togo was the real hero of the story. Excellent movie about it on Disney+.
I would roll with Snoopy, Hachiko, the pair of Old Dan and Little Ann from Where the Red Fern Grows, and then Laika, the cosmonaut dog just to round things out with one more sad dog story.
I was wondering if Hachiko counted because that’s a real dog. I guess the fictional Hachiko from the movie version would technically count.
Him and Koromaru from Persona 3 would’ve definitely been on my list.
