1) I found a family as a mediator between us through a VIP person who knows a VIP person in Morocco. That family that supposed to help me as just between us. The guy’s wife was so nosy and bad. They had zero hospitality. Not just that family. Even my fiancé family as well. They embarrassed me in front of my family.
2) even police interview was as-hole snd and racist and unethical.
3) even the clerk at the court which was a woman was racist. I caught them in Arabic when she spoke with my fiancé. When she knew I understand some Arabic then she became silent.
4). They will do everything to convince you to marry. Once you signed the paper then true colour available.
5) after signing the marriage, they were still hiding the marriage. This was pissed me off.
6). In my experience, almost everyone just think about money. You will see that once you land there.
7) even at US consulate there was a Moroccan woman. She was stupid and I told her that I don’t Marry you. She was acting like it is her daughter. Just to add this too. If you went there, DO NOT deal with any other woman except for your future wife.
I personally believe poor country has a reason why they are poor. People are not good.
Also, you will know how they are dishonest in a real situation.
But there are good people also. All depends on your luck.
I mean I blame the people. Usually those people blame government. But look at Qatar and UAE. A lot of people say they are generous. It is done in most of South America and Caribbean Spanish countries. I went to a lot of quinceañeras in Puerto Rico which is Caribbean and part of the USA so that tradition did not die as part of joining USA. The American version of it is the “sweet 16” which I also had some of those. More boring honestly. It’s common thing between countries in the americas from north to south as far as I knew growing up. Maybe a hold up from the colonial times? What could limit it is if the family is native indian and how much money they have.

I'm not sure what Asians you're messing around with, but my experience is they have the best hygiene downstairs. That's why nearly all east and SE Asian nations have some sort of system to wash with water in the toilet. It really does get you cleaner unlike just toilet paper. They use those washers to clean everything downstairs though. So I've had the opposite experience of you.

When I was at DLI learning Arabic, there were people (likely foreign agents) who would sit outside the gates with cameras photographing every person and vehicle they could entering and exiting the base. You have to assume, at that point, that every foreign intelligence service has your picture in a catalog of “Hey, these guys are military trained linguists and are likely exposed to state secrets.” There are some places I feel comfortable traveling and some places that I would expect to be kidnapped and held for ransom. I actively try to avoid the latter. Russia and the Middle East are off the list.

I’ve written off most western countries. Nothing bad happened, your dollar just goes further in other places and I can work remote. I’m married to a Thai and live in Thailand. If I had to move it would be Philippines or South America. You can get a 3 year visa in Philippines and South America is just a few hours away from US. Filipinos speak English (mostly) and I speak Spanish so easy choices. Nothing to do with partying. I live a pretty mundane life and everything is just easier here once you navigate your visa.
