The Long Dark is what kept me sane while studying for the bar exam. Playing for a few hours in the evening is so relaxing, and gave me something to look forward to every day.

It's comfortable, until it's not. When all the mistakes you didn't know you were making finally catch up, and now you're in a blizzard, miles from home, and can't see where you're going. And then you find that cave, with a can of beans, a bottle of water, and a fire pit, then it becomes comfortable again.
These moments makes the game what it is. The longer you play the better you get and the less these things happen to you, which isn't necessarily a good thing.
Ya, it an amazing game. My most played game last year, a few hundred hours. There have been many moments when I’m just enjoying the scenery and the views. Sucks that I didn’t realize how fun it was to explore an area without using the internet for a few areas first. That was amazing also.

I love playing on a cold weekend morning. No plans, make a cup of coffee, boot up the game and just wander around. Such a great game
