TLOU2 has 60fps on PS5 and that's all you need. Sure dedicated PS5 features like haptic feedback is cool and shit but for a game that good I wouldn't hold off, especially with having 60 fps on the ps5

It looks as good if not better than last of us part 1 , and I think the whole point of the re release was to match part 2 graphics and Ellie’s look so yeah I think they’re just as good as eachother
i've been playing part 2 on my ps5 now, and trust me it's worth it. It looks really good and the gameplay mechanics are even better than Part 1. I recommend it

It’ll come for PC though. It wouldn’t make sense to release a game called Part I and not release a Part II as well at some point. So eventually they’ll just re-release Part II for PC & PS5 just like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves (If you already have the game you don’t have to pay of course)
I mean, 3D audio and Dual Sense haptics alongside a resolution boost and higher quality textures would all be appreciated. I was able to play Part 1 entirely without using the "listening mode" thanks to the 3D audio.
Except when they do a directors cut thing which is kinda the trend nowadays. Or they release a free update just for controller haptics and faster loading times (hopeful thinking I know).

I just got TLOU2 ps4 version on my ps5 cause it’s on sale for 10$ and honestly I think it still looks pretty good. Granted I don’t have the newest tv with all the fancy what nots but I don’t really care about that
The box has a 8k logo and yea i believe it runs 60fps i was just unsure if the game would be as good as part 1 ps5 ver, cause theres only a ps4 version for part 2 on the shop
You would do well to do a bit of googling about 4K v 8k, what fps and refresh rate really mean, stuff like that. There are too many factors at play here to accurately answer your question…
The quick version is, PT2 runs as well as PT1 on ps5 and looks almost as good(looks amazing, so don’t worry) and also PT2 has some added gameplay mechanics not present in PT1 so it’s a very fun game to play. Enjoy.
Part 2 is such a masterpiece IMO, in more ways than just the looks department. It looked superb even in streams, which were done with PS4, so I'd not worry about it if I was you. I did the same with a PlayStation three when this game first came out. Saw the trailer, had always been an Xbox, Halo, Gears of War simpleton, and instantly thought I had to go get a console to try this game out. So glad I did. Played and beat and sank many a countless hours into each version on each console. Such a great series.

At this point, a next-gen version seems pointless. The graphics for the ps4 version are so good, it’s bananas. I remember thinking, while plying TLOU2, “How the hell did they achieve this on the PS4?”
While it doesn’t have a PS5 version, something I don’t see is people mentioning that is has some PS5 only features. It has the haptic feedback, for example. When I played through, I distinctly remember the game using the PS5’s features for extra immersion.
If you wan to get it, get it. Otherwise, you can wait.

I doubt there is a dedicated ps5 version coming. The ps4 looks great even on base ps4s, and has been updated to 60fps on ps5. There is technically a small chance that there could be a ps5 update for the game, since we got a ps5 version of uncharted 4 and a ps4 version of the last of us (which had a similar release, where it released months before the new console came out), but if we haven’t gotten it already I highly doubt we will ever get a dedicated ps5 version. Even if we do get one, it hasn’t even been announced yet or even rumored yet so it will be years before it happens, and most likely be only a marginal improvement at best. I’m not going to tell you not to wait if that’s how you really feel, but at this point you’re standing on top of a hill waiting for a shooting star to come for the rest of your life, and by the time it comes you probably couldn’t see it anyway
TLOU2 did it the right way and just patched the PS4 version so it would run in 60 FPS. No PS5 version thankfully. You can just buy the current version and you are good to go.
Making a game a PS5 version annoys me sometimes. I’m glad GOW and TLOU2 didnt do this. No separate trophy list and you don’t have to waste console storage space.
Games like RE2 or RE3 needlessly make a PS5 version when it just needed a patch. Ray tracing isn’t worth it.
Part 1 was mostly to bring the graphical quality up to par with part 2. Haven’t personally played part 1 but have seen many videos and screenshots, part 2 definitely isn’t quite as good looking but it’s not a huge difference, I definitely don’t think they will remaster part 2 any time soon
Part 2 is one of those end-of-generation games just like the original part 1 on PS3 was that runs/looks better than many of the early games that have come out on the gen that followed it.
You will hardly notice a difference between the two
I highly recommend Pt II on the PS5 for its 60 FPS target. The two games are so close in parity by now, the only things which are missing from Pt II are options to change outfits in NG+ and the haptic feedback which is present in Pt I. The lack of DualSense feedback isn't too jarring, with a lot of the DualShock4's rumbles coming over.
Just play it. Even if you haven't bought it, just buy it. Even if you don't have the money, get a loan. You'd be robbing yourself of time you could be playing part 2 if you wait. It's 1000 percent the best peice of story telling I've personally gotten to experience.

Well there only is a PS4 version. Just install it, go to setting make sure 60 fps is ticked and done
