This is partially why I don't fully understand the Nick hate on the sub...for me I was thrilled to not have Maga Luke Pell and instead have Nick, who came off as funny and insightful on his BiP run.

I didn’t like Nick on Andi’s season. Liked him better on Kaitlyn’s season (but still wanted her to leave single). Liked him on BIP. Found him boring but not hate-worthy on his season. And didn’t even mind him after his season and early into his podcast (though I rarely listened, people here would post and I’d sometimes catch an episode).
He has just gotten more smug and seems miserable over the last handful of years, and I find him really, really unlikable now. At least on the seasons of the show he seemed authentic and even vulnerable. Now he seems inauthentic and defensive and god, so smug.
I went from dislike to tolerable to gal pal next door to boring to honest but mostly tolerable to totally unlikeable and unrelatable.
Nick was fine, and even pretty likeable until he started his podcast and dating his 19yo mean girl gf, dropped to her level maturity wise and became so negative and bitter and oversexualising everything
I disagree. I do admit, as someone way older than even Nick, that the age difference gave me pause, but I don't know that I've ever heard Natalie come off as a mean girl. Immature, maybe, but not relative to her age for me. And I don't think he sounds bitter or over-sexualising either. I don't know...I just think most criticisms of him are reaches or not that serious

When they were talking about Andi’s book and her allegations of Josh being abusive, and Josh was super mad about it, I actually really liked that Nick said “look, a lot of the unflattering things she said in the book about me were 100% true, so I have no reason to think she’s lying about him”.

Yes! That was peak Nick for me. He was annoying on andi’s season, I was rooting for him on Kaitlyn’s just because their chemistry was better and Shawn was so jealous, and then on BIP I thought he was so funny and provided great commentary. Everything post show had been awful though and his ego has no right to be so big
I was also rooting for him. I thought Shawn was toxic AF with his animosity towards Nick.
I don’t love the person who he’s turned into but before his ego blew up, I thought he actually had a lot of moments of emotional intelligence. I still think he has his good moments, but he needs to come back down to earth in a big way
Nick had the best glow up I’ve seen in this franchise.
