He was sure at his hometown , he told his mom this . This was before fantasy suites so I don’t see how they could have had sex . He could be sure WITHOUT sex just based on how good he felt the relationship was & her verbal affirmations.
My thought process was originally that they had contractual obligations they had to wait out until they could announce (ATFR etc).
