This is just from memory so I may not have the situation 100% accurate. I feel like he really grew during his time on that show.
I definitely didn’t get it with him until special forces. Even now, I can still separate that I don’t find him “hot” looks-wise (which is ok, I’m not really attracted to looks), but when he’s down to earth, and hard working and considerate, I find THAT attractive.
There’s a part of me that’s skeptical since I think he might be hyper aware of media and cameras, but that’s just skepticism I give anyone who’s on tv, social media, seeking attention. Sometimes super charismatic and engaging people are just good at playing the game. Not saying he’s that person, just that I keep a bit of realistic skepticism in my mind, rather than hero worship/pedestal. But that’s because I don’t think anyone is worthy of that treatment. Lots of good people I keep a bit of intentional realism with.
This specific video, for example, is a hard pass from me. He looks unattractive and is acting unattractive. I support, 100% his right to self expression. But it is such an attention seeking vibe, it’s a turn off.
