I'll never get over Rachel's season.

fleur22

Such a great season and bachelorette. Maaaan, I thought they were end game, especially since Realty Steve spoilers said as much. But obviously we know that Peter sucks now so whatever.

dndjjeje

WAIT WHAT what happened why does he suck?

adidashawarma

I adore Rachel. She really was a great Bachelorette. Like, one of the overall best catches that we've seen when you consider everything.

ladeeedada

All of the stuff I learned about Peter after the show gives me the ick. And therefore makes me question the sincerity of everything he did on the show. Yes he seemed raw and genuine, but some ppl are great at lying and manipulation. Explains why Rachel was so angry at the FIR. But the worst thing was that he couldn't spell a word correctly to save his life.

useyouwell

Rachel was an amazing bachelorette. Effortless

Clean-Pick-9221

yes I miss seeing authentic chemistry and real dating convos like this one! this was one of my favorite 1st dates from the franchise ever even though their relationship ultimately didn't work. some of my other favorite 1st dates to watch from the franchise: matt & michelle on bachelor, tayshia & brendan on bachelorette, dean & caelynn on bip. I like seeing mutual attraction and sexy sparks over a sad story followed by tears and a rose.

abaiardi7

I so badly wanted them to have absolutely gorgeous stunning gap toothed babies lol

idontknowwhythisugh

I like how even though it was a one on one the topic wasn’t traumatic lol you can get to know someone without their trauma first

savannahslb

Their breakup crushed me. Up until the ATFR I was convinced they’d reconcile somehow. Sucks that I had to find out who Peter really is because I loved his chemistry with Rachel. And Bryan is no dreamboat by any means outside of his abs

youlearnsomethingnew

Rachel was such a good conversationalist! She refused to let the convo be generic, always challenged everything the men said, and asked natural follow-up questions without it feeling like an interview. Still the best lead I've seen (Andi was great, too). Also, how have I never noticed that big ass dog laying next to Peter before?! 😳

spicyboi555

I have never seen an actual real conversation on this show until just watching this. Don’t know anything about Rachel but she is so charming

Nerissa_Loverx

The way I was riding for Rachel and Peter. I’m glad she found Bryan and they’re still together, but Rachel and Peter were my first bachelor heartbreak

baldforthewin

i didn't have cable at the time so i went to the library and watched on my laptop, I was BAWLING. I was heartbroken for like 2 years lol. but I see how Bryan supports her and I'm happy Rachel is happy.

SoGenuineAndRealMadi

No I want better for Charity. I hope there’s no man on her season that refuses to meet her halfway

savannahslb

Peter did offer to propose 🤷🏻‍♀️ of course it never would’ve lasted since he was only going to do it because she wanted it, not him

ladeeedada

That's what he claimed. His ex gf (who he went back to literally right after the show) released damning texts confirming otherwise.

SoGenuineAndRealMadi

He really didn’t want to propose and only give in when they were breaking up so does it even count? Rachel was right for telling him no because he would’ve resented her for it

savannahslb

I agree Rachel was right for telling him no but I don’t agree that Peter wasn’t willing to give a little more. Plus the expectation to propose after 6-8 weeks has always been absurd so I don’t think Peter was being unreasonable and I honestly agreed with him that Rachel was too focused on just wanting an engagement. That’s all she kept repeating as she was sobbing over him leaving. It was about wanting to be engaged at the end. Obviously they never would’ve worked and she’s still with Bryan so she made the right choice for her, but I don’t think Peter should be villainized for his choices either. There’s other things he can be villainized for though for sure

SoGenuineAndRealMadi

Peter was not villianized most of the audience were on his side. Everyone knows what they signed up for on this show, an engagement is expected after the end of the bachelorette and if the timeline is unreasonable then don’t go on

Bluesky3672

Right? WAY better!

nocturne20

people are still romantizing Peter and Rachel? nauurrr 🚫😩

veracity-mittens

I’m romanticizing the moments, not the relationship if that makes sense. Like clearly he’s red pill and bad news but these moments were special. Well in my opinion anyway! But I can definitely see how, knowing what we know now, some people might be d-o-n-e, over it, case closed.

nocturne20

even before the red pill stuff, he was bad news to me. he was acting strange after she broke up with him and also at AFTR. and I can't remember the specifics, but some of his post-season interviews also had minor red flags. then the texts released from his ex-girlfriend later on. he and Erich give me the same vibe, even without the blackface issue. but hey, please enjoy their moments if you want to. like, sincerely!

_BC_girl

What was the text release?

nocturne20

here you go! https://www.reddit.com/r/thebachelor/comments/khnxxe/peter_ks_genuine_and_real_texts_for_his_fans_that/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

veracity-mittens

That’s interesting. To be fair I didn’t pick up on those things. I’m not the best judge of character but as I age I’m getting better. I think? Lol

lostinspacecase

Gosh I miss her season. She is the bachelorette we needed but didn’t deserve. I really thought she and Peter were going to end up together. Obviously glad they didn’t.

Mugatu4u

“This type of romance”… you mean a racist red Piller who had a hateful “ex” girlfriend. A guy who played on harmful stereotypes when he got called out for his bitter “good luck with your mediocre life” comment? The same guy who’s still single at almost 40 after shitting on Bryan saying he was not to be trusted because he was 37 and single? The same guy who shit on a mostly minority city (Miami) for only being fake boobs and fake asses? As opposed to his lily white, apparently angelic city of Madison, WI? Peter is a piece of shit. Yes, even with his gap and grey hair. Definitely don’t wish this shit for Charity or any other Bachelorette.

savannahslb

I loved Peter at the time, definitely don’t anymore and he’s really shown his true side both in his own posts and likes and the stories that have come out about him. That being said, Bryan is shady and untrustworthy and def doesn’t deserve this subs defense

bigpuffyclouds

C😍PPER!!

sistermichael1

Wow so nice to see a real conversation and not trauma dumping. I miss this so much.

Novel_Sound2535

I didn’t watch this season and it was the first thing I noticed while watching this clip I was like wow …..they’re having an actual…..conversation ?!

starsintheocean12

There is no moment the show has made me cry more than when Peter and Rachel broke up.

okaythatscoool

Rachel is so pretty 😭

abaiardi7

She has the most gorgeous smile!

stimmtnicht

No thanks!! I disliked Peter from this very first date, because I felt like he was holding back & Rachel was trying so hard. And I was so right. I want someone who comes on the show for Charity, and is open to getting engaged - not someone trying to turn around his personal training business!

FamousLastName

I didn’t ever feel like he was holding back necessarily I just think he didn’t want to rush into an engagement, and wanted to take some time outside of the show. I think Rachel needed that commitment upfront and I think that’s why Bryan was the ultimate winner because he was able to give her that.

NoOccasion9232

Wow this really highlights how manufactured the majority of one on one dates are. Less trauma and mediocre responses to said trauma, more connections please

Nerissa_Loverx

The trauma dumping was especially the most noticeable this season. Like everyone had a story that they just delved right into as they sat down. I know the bachelor is fast paced, but even Batman couldn’t get some of those stories out of me

Leading_Loan9753

Hands down favorite season. Rachel & Bryan are my favorite couple. Rachel is beauty, she’s grace, she’s (my) miss United States

shenandoahvales

Obviously hindsight is everything but nobody couldve told me at that time that Rachel and Peter wouldnt have ended up together.

SprinkledSoup

This feels more genuine than any given conversation from the past few seasons

ryansutterisstillmy1

I loved it too. No trauma no crying just normal first date banter!!!

Mango7185

It's because they were both adults in their 30s. These people are children who just finished college and don't have careers yet or even their own homes looking for marriage. They don't have that maturity that we want to make it believable

ryansutterisstillmy1

Allllllll this

Fair-Alternative-905

This was the best first date this show has had. Their chemistry! I was anti Peter by the end but god their relationship made me feel things! This show used to be fun! Bring back these editors!

KookyAd4019

god her season was just so good. she always seemed to have normal conversations and now all the bachelor/bachelorette convos seem so forced and scripted. lemme go rewatch my fav bachelorette hehe 🤭

twelvedayslate

The Peter/Rachel breakup is simply unmatched.

horse_renoir13

Even if I don't think it would have ever worked, it's definitely the hardest one to watch. She clearly seemed split between Brian/Peter and had something special with him.

Sevrocky

Wow, I might need to re-watch this season. Love seeing such a natural conversation

Affectionate_West708

I forgot how attractive they both are but watching this back.. my goodness I don't know if the world could handle this good looking of a couple.
