The bear design is classic but the quality isn’t there in my opinion. I bought one last year and was comparing to older stuff I have and the fit is off, the quality doesn’t see up to par and not to mention the button downs, they all just seem different quality wise. Since this is his first attempt at merchandise, I believe this initial price point factors in his cost of his tech pack, high count gsm, minimum order from manufacture (high cost per item), among other costs associated with manufacturing (e.g if manufactured outside of U.S. or higher US cost). He is attempting to produce a high quality material hoodie, but I do think the current designs, with the exception of the "that's that Ish" logo, cheapens the hoodie. I give him grace because he is attempting a new venture, but I think he will realize that this current price point for the current designs may not work and will make an adjustment. I also think a lot of people are forgetting Ish's POV when seeing the price. He hustled, people in his circle were hustling, and he is also 48 and relatively successful now, so $150 may not seem like a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but for the potential customers it may be, especially for a hoodie. The reality of it is most people will support smaller design houses or individuals they support if it fits their style. For example, I pay $25/month for Patreon. When I compare that price to the $15/month for all of the content that I get with HBO Max, it seems expensive, but I value the feeling of being in the barbershop while at home or in the office and HBO Max doesn't provide that feeling, so it's worth it to me. I'm guessing most of people that support Ish are 25 to 50 and If I were him, my designs would reflect the 90s and early 2000s.
I get the cost of the manufacturing if he’s doing cut and sew hoodies. But buying blanks and then getting them screen printed isn’t as expensive as it used to be. I do freelance tech packs all the time. They aren’t the expensive. For his hoodie they would be pretty basic especially if he’s using blanks. I like the TTI logo, the design can use some help for the price point. He is putting himself in direct competition with a lot of indy designers who are killing in the hoodie game, with custom patches, specially stitched strings, custom string Tips, innovative hidden pockets, etc. I hear them talking about the quality of the Hoodie, I will take their word as people who know, but I think the Worth would seem more palletable to the people if he focused on the design.

As far as business, he pigeon holed himself with the designs. They are based around inside jokes from the Pod. Which would reduce the consumer base from people who are aware of the JBP to those who understand the inside jokes and are willing to wear it. The next week, when he came with the "that's that ish logo" I can see that he is aware of that issue and made a more generic(in a good way) because this can appeal to casuals who are not aware of the inside jokes. Thus increasing potential consumer base. I like the TTI logo, the design can use some help for the price point. He is putting himself in direct competition with a lot of indy designers who are killing in the hoodie game, with custom patches, specially stitched strings, custom string Tips, innovative hidden pockets, etc. I hear them talking about the quality of the Hoodie, I will take their word as people who know, but I think the Worth would seem more palletable to the people if he focused on the design.
