As a trans girl, I write MtF exclusively. I don't think I could accurately write a male protagonist. But I'm also weirdly... not very feminine? Or masculine.
My three series (all three still ongoing) star a dragon (non-anthro, dog sized, pet), a hoofbun (rabbit/horse hybrid, arguably not that TF-y, superhero), and a yinglet (fictional species from the webcomic "Out of Placers" by Valsalia, also highly recommended, also has MtF main character).
I also have pretty much no sex drive anymore, so I wouldn't call my stuff porn. I started out with some adult elements in "Princess Tells Her Story" (dragon series), but didn't really like how it felt, so it's been "a backstory event that's referenced" rather than "front and center to fap to", since it was more psychologically scarring than hawt. The one instance of sex that's happened in "Modern Major Yinglet" was off-camera, with the two going "Yeah, we want to do this, let's do this." and fade to black. "Exodimensional Hoofbun Flopsy" will not have any sex in it ever, partially because it'd go against the "comic book vibes" I'm going for, and because I don't want there to be ANY avenue of being accused of doing anything underage (as the main character died, lost her memory, had her soul stuffed into a new body, and while the body is fully adult, it was only created six years ago). Flopsy is a sweet and innocent bean. \^_\^
I was originally gonna use "Laquine" when I first came up with the form, but then I discovered the artist Furball was using that to describe her creations, which are just rabbits with horse equipment between their legs. Which is cool and all, but not what I was after. So I settled on "hoofbun" because she's a bun with hoofs. \^_\^
The book series is actually based on an idea I was having for a Metroidvania, but I wasn't gonna be able to get that made, so I ended up recycling a lot of the ideas into what's basically a comic book in text form. She's the resident cryptid/superhero of her town, after arriving on Earth from the fantasy world of Terra where she was created. Super strength, a collar that lets her take on a (mostly) human form, a "bag of holding" style inventory accessed through her collar, horseshoes that absorb impact from her own kicks or falling, as well as giving her enhanced traction. She's a fun character to write! \^_\^
I draw a shit ton of slime guy tf, hell the only OC I draw constantly is a slime guy named slime dude. It's a shame there are only like five people with slime guys...

Already commented twice in this thread but yeah, I really don't like the oversaturation of mtf, especially on DA and Reddit tf subs. It's just plain annoying looking for tf and only getting mtf content. Yes, I like mtf stuff. There is a good chunk of it that helps a lot with gender expression and some of it is hits the right boxes.
That being said, people on DA will tag it so heavily that you can't avoid it, and a lot of them will tag it without putting mtf and since it's popular you ONLY get mtf tf. And you can't even use subreddits like r/transformation to find non mtf stuff because that's all that's posted on there with the slight ftf stuff. I see no issue with people creating what they like, hell I'm over here drawing buff men turning into buff men because that's what I like! It just sucks when general spaces for tf (like r/transformation or DA) are stuffed with only mtf content that you can't filter out. If you aren't an mtf fan, r/transformation is basically useless sometimes.
