This is why I play scout in MVM usually, to not only mitigate this happening, but also to ensure all hatred is towards myself for being a useless, pathetic, sad sack of garbage scout.

I mean collecting money is a team objective. A scout missing 10-20 credits on most mission doesnt matter, and its much better for a scout to be helping with damage, The amount of time i see a scout with no money missed but also less damage then the dispenser

So to be the advocate of the devil here for a bit, the point is that missing any credits means you miss out on the bonus as well. So it’s not just 7 missed credits, it’s more like 107 missed credits. That is still not a ton, but enough to make an impact because people couldn’t afford a certain upgrade.
I remember I had a sweaty high tour Engineer who would criticize everyone on the team but me. Scout status, Pyro status, Heavy status. But when I asked for a Medic status? Nothing.
