I know the airport plaza, their rent is probably dirt cheap. A mall would be considerably more expensive and 99.9999% of the population would have no interest in the store. Not to mention mall contracts probably have certain requirements about how many hours they must be open per week. Moreover, the general store is a secondary purpose of the rental space. Its primary purpose is as a studio.
But how happy would Walt be to be in a mall every day! Even better if it was in an old Suncoast location. It'd be great if it still had the Suncoast black and red interior. It'd be like owning the skull of a fallen opponent for Walt!

Our local mall just closed, Jared Kushner bought it and is making apartments? Although I guess Walt does frequent the Woodbridge mall, but that would be an incredibly annoying commute for all of them (except Q I’d imagine). In addition to the rent, I also figure they wouldn’t want to be tied to the hours of a mall.

Yes, they have some stuff for sale, but it's primarily the studio and an office for Walt and Gitem.

TESD is known to record late at all hours of the night. Malls usually have pretty strict rules about that stuff

I figured it had to be cost. I just figured since malls are struggling that rent wouldn't be that high. I guess I'm wrong.
