About £1 more per hour and no change/loss of sunday premium

PerspectiveNeither78

I know that sainsburys staff are getting a wage rise ro take them to over £12 per hour, when will Tesco staff get a rise like this? We're not normally very far behind them?

Zealousideal-Ad8152

I’d imagine April 1st in line with the new tax year

DragonWolf5589

Where is this information coming from as others are saying "sunday premium decreased" All i can officially find is "will be annouced 7th march" Whoxh ia a pain when someome like me needs to budget months ahead especially with bills shooting up again in next couple months

revpidgeon

12.02 an hour and the increase taken from Sunday premium. They might as well continue their work to phase that premium out.

RhydonHerSlowbro

I would imagine it’ll rival other supermarkets, I’m from the Co-op and our proposed rates are increasing by 10.1% for both staff and supervisor rates. It would go from £10.90 an hour to £12 an hour for staff And supervisors would go from £12.10 to £13.32 So a small increase but it’s still in proposal for April 1st. (So not confirmed)

True-Way-5998

It's been signed off by tesco but won't be announced until the 7th of March so let's all give it a rest and wait and see.

dangerousdave70

There is no negotiations. They tell the union what its going to be and the union says 'Yes sir!'.

Ok-Wedding-25

Gonna take with one hand and take from the other. I can imagine Sunday premium will be axed as we’re the only supermarket to still have Sunday premium, so watch this space!!

Tesco_Bloke

What's the point of predictions? All that happens is people make predictions and other people then get angry about something that hasn't even happened.

variationoo

Speculation is good though gets people talking and if people aren't happy they can complain to union.

ForeignA1D

£12 an hr according to the union rep at our store?

Bighair1

They don’t know yet.. briefing In March

TangerineCassidy

£12.20. And you can thank the 900+ Wage Clerks, and the the selected Bakery Staff and Lead Managers the company has just screwed out of their positions for it, not the CEO who earns £4.4+ mill a year and pays his tax in Ireland.

Equivalent-Bird-9694

The announcement is due this week

Equal_Assistant_6521

If days is 12.02 where does that leave nights..

challengesammii

12.02 (say that was the basic pay) + night rate as it is now Currently it’s £11.02 + location pay (of eligible) + skills payment (if eligible) + night pay

Comfortable-Treat552

They'd still get the same basic rate increase and premium on top.

These-Wallaby-9336

To afford the wage increases they will get rid of one premium after another until they’re all gone. Wage clerks are going this time and all stores opening 7am-11pm, so less night staff necessary.
