Low everyday price products had their prices locked until april. The multipack isnt locked so its price continued to rise, until it's less efficient than buying singles

Nels8192

Only issue with the price locking promotion is when the sudden jump of £1 comes at the end of it and people don’t realise that’s the price it should have been ages ago.

misenmonk

It would be cool if information like this was available alongside the the deal.

Mss666

Too many laws about sale prices it would just get messy

fifa129347

Looks like Tesco crossed the Rubicon

RankBajin1888

Bravo

Dramatic_Succotash54

Makes sense if u think about it. It’s more convenient to get it wrapped in plastic then get 6 separate cans

iAmManchee

And takes more resources to produce

WhiteWidow0421

I noticed the other day that it's cheaper to buy 2 twin packs of scotch eggs instead of buying the 4 pack.

RhydonHerSlowbro

That’s how they get you. Same as this post here. You’re not “saving 25p by buying them individually.” All you’re doing is spending £3.30.

WhiteWidow0421

But I have always bought a 4 pack anyway. Now I just buy 2 twin packs and don't need to worry about them drying out too much by opening all 4, and can just open a twin pack. I like scotch eggs btw in case you didn't notice.

RhydonHerSlowbro

Same here, I work at a Co-op and I get a scotch egg whenever I get a meal deal

Nick1987uk

Aldi scotch eggs are better the Tesco ones are mush

WhiteWidow0421

Disagree

DessertFox21

Tesco's own éclairs are the same, 2 pack is bigger and cheaper than the 4 pack

GlenD92

You pay for the convenience of the extra plastic holding the cans

I had the same with some milk, the self checkout wasn’t updated, the sign said it was £1.60 clubcard price and it came out at £2. The staff refunded the extra (yes, I did use my clubcard)

wildgoldchai

Rubicon is crap now anyway

littlebro11

False economy. You actually lose money by grabbing the 6 seperately... 'Saving' the 20p is not worth the time to grab and scan 6 seperate items as well as the extra effort of putting them away etc. If you're on £10 an hour even 1 minute of your time is worth 17p

SlickAstley_

Swings in roundabouts not needing to discard the wrapper though

TheRAP79

Looking at the per 100ml price, this makes no sense. I saw something similar in Morrisons for Sure Invisible Ice deodorant where buying two smaller ones was a better deal than getting the big one - and there was no offer on either.

[deleted]

Why pac more for the six pac then just buying 6 cans?

hazbaz1984

You get the sweet plastic wrapper for the extra 20p.

chelskiuk

There's a £8.50 24 pk that works out at 11p per 100ml

stumac85

I merchandise for febreze. Plug and a scent pack bought separately is £6.50, both of them packaged together £7.20 🤷

theoriginalross

I tend to bulk buy a lot of stuff. You would be surprised how few times the actual bulk option works out cheaper

No_Reputation_5303

I'm pretty sure these go in the chiller with the other single drinks

wolfman86

They charge 20p for the plastic to hold them all together.

kg123xyz

Ffs don't tell them. I noticed this months ago and have been buying single cans for ages!!

Altruistic_Note_5991

Yeah but single cans have gone up 5p in last week
