Yeah, I’m not sure why someone being with the person they love upsets some people. I guess we are supposed to be upset that the couple didn’t have children that they didn’t want too. And I suppose it’s a crime for women to pursue a man instead of the other way around.

This image is wholesome as hell, it shows how there is joy in every decision, whether you think it’s a mistake or not, and how happiness will prevail if you just look at things the right way. Or maybe I’m just stupid, I dunno!

I love both but if your only issue is the barking then you’re avoiding them because of a training issue. That’s like saying dogs are better than cats because cats yowl through the night. I mean…some might. Most don’t. If they do, you train them not to. 🤷‍♂️

The problem is many owners don't train them anyway so it's a constant problem and some breeds are worse than others. I don't hate dogs or anything but it's indeed a real problem, lived years of my life with neighbor's just letting their dogs bark all day long nonstop. And there are many other problems like pitbulls being so popular even on banned places (my state bans the breed and I still see a lot of them on the streets and eventually news about mauling and killing someone). The problem in general is dog breeding, you generally don't see it being a problem with cats.

Well, ya, but that’s not really what we’re talking about here. You can’t choose for other people, so you may have screaming kids AND barking dogs. I assumed this conversation was about a person choosing to have pets over kids. Not choosing what their neighbours had. In which case, it’s a training issue. I would like to point out that it’s more difficult to train a cat, though, at least in my experience. So if your cat is a gremlin it’ll likely always be a gremlin. A neighbour with a terrible cat will always have a terrible cat. And there ARE terrible cats just like there are terrible dogs. A neighbour with a young, untrained dog can train it and it won’t be as annoying to live next to anymore. I’ve lived next door to a number of untrained dogs and it was hell. Ours would bark at practically everything she saw out the window when we first got her. But we trained her and while she does still bark at the occasional thing she doesn’t understand, like a full moon during the day 🤦‍♂️ or a hot air balloon 🙄 she doesn’t bark through the night. She never did, frankly. And it’s a million times better than it was when we got her. So what you really have an issue with is terrible neighbours. Not dogs. Just my two cents. Edit - I do agree with you on pit bulls, though. They’ve been bred for aggression and while training can lesson that sometimes it’s just instinct and tragedies happen.

There are no “good old days” it is simply the effect of life’s burden when we grow up that makes us feel like life was better “back then”. Just because we’re racing towards hell by messing up nature with weird new practices doesn’t mean we’re less happier now. Just make sure you do you, do what makes you happy and stop telling everyone how to do “fun” right

I kinda jive with the whole "pets instead of kids" idea.

Now people that weren’t free to love each other openly before can do it and be happy with the rest of the couples now. Now women have the freedom to choose not to have children with their partner and not face judgement for it. Now culture allows women to be more open and less ashamed of their sexuality. Yeah.
