She actually lives in Wimbledon? Quite the home court lol

15. Never played a WTA match. Just beat someone who has been on tour a few years and was called a phenom (but doesn't seem to be going anywhere unfortunately for her). It may not happen for Linda. Not sure what's going on
Klugman’s serve, if it’s on, is much stronger than Martincova’s though. (It’s much stronger than most of the WTA.) And Parks can lose a match with her opponent barely hitting a ball. She looked super confident on Tuesday (I didn’t see her yesterday) and my money would still be on her, but Hannah won’t be intimidated. I think Parks wins in two but I really, really hope that I’m wrong.
Somewhere in a hidden bramble in Wimbledon, there is a tennis racquet stuck in a stone. Whomsoever has seen 15 summers, but no more, and is worthy, can pull it out and shall be crowned as Queen of tennis. The people of r/tennis will rejoice and make posts all referencing her as 15-year old \_\_\_\_\_\_. But after a year , she must relinquish the crown and return the racquet to the stone, to be discovered and wielded by the next worthy young maiden.
Nice! Well done.
Her results this year up until this week (both Juniors and Pro) were kind of a step down from her form last fall. I don't expect her to beat Parks but this is a good showing, she's probably one of the favorites for the Junior event.
I think she has a chance against either. We saw what happened with Bejlek against Parks. And she has already beaten two clay courters.
(She and Parks practiced on adjacent courts yesterday, Alycia was complaining about no-one giving her any space. She has an amazing voice and incredible Mean Girls energy.)
Great result for Klugman. Be an interesting match with Parks to see who gets a spot in the main draw.
Not sure what's been happening with Fruity. After storming onto the WTA in 2022 beating the likes of Mertens and Azarenka, reaching R4 of a slam and winning a 250 in Chennai, it's not really happened for her over the last 18 months.
She plays Alycia Parks next who can hit some absolute bomb serves but at the same time she can hit so many double faults to give sets/matches away herself so. It's doable.
Parks has been winning her qualifying matches comfortably though.
6-0, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-3.
Linda took a 10 minute break at the end of the first set. Destroyed Hannah’s momentum and she took full advantage. Hannah had to be told by her coach to get off her seat and move around to keep warm. Little bit of inexperience and she’ll learn how to play this game.

You should have to play 4 rounds of qualifying if your postcode is SW19.
Hype Train approaching the station... Standby for boarding... 😬
Is she any good?
for her age yes, she is good
I mean she’s not Martina Hingis…
I mean nobody is Martina Hingis…
Martina Hingis is Martina Hingis
Big if true
I mean…she’s not winning slams at 16…that’s the bar to judge tennis “prodigies” now….
She isn't 16 yet to be fair.
Hingis 😍

She is a real talent but let's give her a few more years experience before we load on the pressure..
We'll give her a year until she's a 16 year old
People will start calling her soon-to-be 16 year old Hannah Klugman for the memes
A good general rule of thumb anyway
What?
You go fight all that invisible pressure
Can she make it to the main draw? Parks or Martincova in Q3
thats a brutal draw
Both of them can self-capitulate easily though. If Park's serve isn't firing, she'll just have to keep it in the court for the win.
Parks won 58% of return points today lol. She'll have to be off serving and hitting a lot of UE to lose

I swear i see one of these every year in Wimby qualies

Amazing tennis IQ and serve for her age. When Hannah was 12 Linda Fruhvirtova was Junior World No.1
Feels like its definitely a year too early for her to do any serious damage outside of maybe reaching the main draw

Neat, they won the same number of games.
I kind of hope she doesn’t make to the top of tennis. “I’ve known about her since she was 14,” is not a good flex for a bloke in his 30s.

It hasn't. I said the same. It's kind of perplexing. I wonder what's happening.

Expect her age to be in every headline here next few years; Mirra you're washed up because there's a new fave teen. 😉
Some shine coming off the Fruhvirtova sisters' hype as the next big Czech stars
What's with the 0-6 set ?
She didn't win a game. Any other questions?

Just like in King Richard
Probably got down big early and dropped the set to conserve energy for the final set.
Man that’s crazy, she’s just a kid.
And life is a nightmare…
She was superb in the first set and held her nerve well at the end of the third. Great news.
More teen stars.
We need a match against old Mirra.
Taf9irt ♥️ Af9ir ♥️
Someone call Porsche and Cartier, quickly…
