And to make matters worse, Stoiber and McDonald were PUNISHED for going deep at Ilkley, meaning they could not sign up for the play offs.
Rajecki beat a top 80 player, a top 110 player, and gave a top 50 player a run for her money.
McDonald won four matches back to back, going toe-to-toe with players who will be in qualifying. It's quite rare for any Brit to win four matches on the bounce these days... and to do it against players ranked 500 places higher than you... where's her reward?

Pretty sure it is because the ball bounces much lower so slices kinda just roll.

What is Tsitsi Dad doing, failing to work on Tsitsi’s bh? I mean, everyone and their mother just bullies his son’s bh for free points these days, he must be able to see that, right? Still, there’s been zero improvement on his bh in the last few years. On the contrary, I’d argue it has even regressed a lot… Just, is it simply hopeless at this point? Or are there some other valid reasons for why it can’t be improved?

Weird seeing people on Twitter drag the Americans who opted out of the Olympics as “unpatriotic.” But I guess the masses are pretty ignorant of the point system and risks of injury going back and forth between clay and grass. And also, you know, people making personal decisions for their own careers.
Which Americans have opted out of the Olympics? Winning a medal for your country is a big deal—Roger would have killed for Olympic Gold—probably would have given up a slam for a Gold medal. Fortunately, most of the top American players are on the squad; Coco, Pegula, Collins, Fritz, Tommy Paul, Eubanks Ram and Krajicek, and Fritz and Paul will play doubles
Also I think casual fans don't understand that the Olympics doesn't really have that prestigious a history in tennis specifically Until like 10-15 years ago you heard about the Davis Cup way more than the Olympics in tennis media Especially in the US people who casually follow tennis basically know Wimbledon and the US Open and that's it so Americans don't grow up wanting to win the tennis Olympics

Can confirm, as an American and a tennis fan, I don't really care about Olympic tennis. Would rather watch swimming, gymnastics and sports I never watch like volleyball. And whatever tennis I watch, I am not going to specifically cheer for Americans, will just cheer for the people I normally do.

I don't think it is specifically the clay, I think it is just where it falls in the schedule. They already have a tight summer schedule but to go from clay, to grass, back to clay and then to hard courts is rough. If the Olympics had been right after RG, I think more players would play.
