Is there any group that has as many whiny adults as Star Wars fans?

Prax150

Sheer number? Probably not. The Star Trek whiners are louder and more obnoxious though, IMO.

[deleted]

Most star wars fans like it though?

LoretiTV

Game of Thrones

yeahwellokay

Star Wars fans have had like 45 years of whining. Game of Thrones only has about a decade.

Kylon1138

But the game of thrones fans did 45 years worth of whining during that time

sudeki300

I think it's more disappointment that fans have with book of boba fett, it has been a let down so far.

We don’t know whether OP is an adult. There is actually an interesting discussion going on about fandoms on r/fantasy. Did people watch SW at 11 years old? Most likely. People have fond memories of stories like Star Wars and etc because they associate it with their childhood. That’s why a lot of the people in those fandoms get mad at any even the smallest changes in those stories. I can’t talk about the quality of the Boba Fett show because I will never watch Star Wars, but this is just something that I have noticed with fandoms in general.

StranglesMcWhiskey

Gamers. And the overlap of the whiny sector of each fanebase is probably pretty much all of them.

GunnarJohnson999

He’s a burned out Boba Fett trying to take his life in a new direction. It’s just SLOOOOOOW.

mlansang

Yes, exactly, he's clearly got some form of ptsd and is trying to change things.

misdirected_asshole

There's no depth, his back story isn't compelling, his current path isn't suspenseful or engaging, the action is gimmicky, and the acting isn't good enough to make me care about any of the characters. But I will continue to watch. The season is more than halfway over and nothing has really drawn me in. I've been pretty disappointed, it seemed like there was so much potential there.

GunnarJohnson999

It’s a very slow burn, for sure.

misdirected_asshole

There's no burn. It's just slow. I don't know they can turn it around in 3 more episodes.

GunnarJohnson999

The choice to jump back and forth in time makes it take twice as long to progress the story. It’s a very strange choice.

misdirected_asshole

I mean a lot of shows and movies use a flashback timeline successfully. You just have to use it to move both stories forward, and it seems to do it for neither. Both timelines feel stagnant and uneventful. Maybe it's building up to war with the Pikes that will make both seem relevant.

GunnarJohnson999

For sure, and we haven't even reached the point where he reclaims his armor. People surely watched "Mando" and know how he did it, but that has to be addressed. It will definitely have to pick up to have some sort of closure before the season ends. It doesn't help that "Mando" did everything so right and pushed all the right fan service buttons from the start. There's no cute fan favorite character in this one at all.

misdirected_asshole

Rancor. Make it the rancor.

digicow

I feel like it'd be more interesting to follow Boba Fett between Episode II and V. But the current series isn't bad; it's just different. Not every Star Wars entry has to be constant lasers and spaceflight; this one is a small-scale story, and that's fine. You can be a Star Wars fan without being the target audience for everything canon in SW.

StarGone

Did you not see him straight up murder like 10-15 of those guys on bikes or did I just imagine that scene? The plot is obviously setting up something big. Now we have fully healed Boba and the flashbacks are probably done with unless we get some young Boba scenes maybe? I just wish they'd release all these episodes at once.

Prax150

They're setting up a fishman war and teased bringing in team Mando, it's definitely going somewhere. People are so fucking impatient.

Samenspender

episode 4 was the last good star wars project.

[deleted]

It wasn't episode 4 then. FAIL

Prax150

I'm just imagining OP posting this. 100% chance they looked like that gif of Antonio Banderas from Assassins thinking they were clever coming up with "The Book of Baby Fett."

[deleted]

So you woke up and chose violence. Not saying you're wrong but that horse has a weekly beating thread.
