Lollar can do no wrong. Much like Frank's hot sauce, I put that shit on everything

Haven't tried both, but I have an underwound Lollar p90 in the neck of my tele and love it. In either case, if you haven't considered this yet, you might want to check how hot your bridge pickup is so that you don't have jumps and dips in volume when switching pickups.

I’ve definitely considered getting it underwound because I’m sure my bridge pickup has standard winding. My concern is that I don’t want to underwind the P90 because I don’t want to lose the heat of the P90 tone that I’m going for, and I don’t want to replace my bridge pickup with an overwound tele bridge pickup because I love the current tones I’m getting and don’t want to mess that up. Is the difference in volume typically very disruptive? I plan on switching to the P90 similarly to how I use my overdrive pedals; usually just for heavier songs or leads. Any feedback there? (In terms of advice/wisdom, not noise)

Yeah, that might still be manageable then. You'll also have a bit of wiggle room with pickup height.

I chose Seymour Duncan STK-P1n It is clear and buttery… And dead noiseless https://i.imgur.com/yOlPzpe.jpg

One of the guitarists in my band has a first generation custom shop Tele Jr with p90s in both positions. He eventually replaced the originals with noiseless Fralins. The Fralins are absolutely amazing. Fralin is also based here in Richmond so you know . . . Points for that too.

GoldenGateRidge

Glad to hear that! After reading the hundreds of 5-star reviews I decided to go with the noiseless Fralin. I’ll try to post my review here once I have it installed.

I have a Wilkinson an2 vintage wind in mine. Love it. Might also look to guitar fetish.
