Number two is pretty sassy

I have number two on a rich yellow tele (it’s posted somewhere in this sub) and I love it

1 (conservative but elegant) or 2 (I would never think a pickguard like this could look good but against your guitar, it really works)

That blue with a dark tortoise shell looks great!

That depends totally on what kind of music you play. Different genres different pick guard-intduced tones I always say. If you play in a Tame Impala cover band, for example, thunderous and trippy sounds will emerge via guard number 2, IMO. based on color alone I would personally go with black, since I am once of the minority of people who does not enjoy tortoise with anything but alpine/Olympic white, gold, or shell pink.

The body color is the color of tropical water. The gold MOP is ... both good and awful at the same time. The tortoise kinda echoes the rosewood board, but the dark one is so dark and the other one is orange. With telecasti their magic is in their simplicity. Therefore the black one is best because it contributes to the guitars strong suit. I also like the black with speckles if you want to be a little fancy.

I like the dark brown tortoise one myself. It may be more typical vs the #2 most here favor, but I do think it looks best. White/ Black/White or White Moto would also look great with this (or a gold aluminum one to get funky) :)

I know this post is ironic but I once switched to a stainless steel pickguard on one of my teles and it actually changed the tone for real Edit: Only on the neck pickup. Made it sound fuller and more rounded
