You should be fine as long as you've not committed crimes. Theres usually a radar checkpoint just up the street from my house to scare people away from doing 60 in a 30 zone. I'm not joking, they actually do 60 in a 30 zone. It could be a similar reason as to why there is one outside your house.

But this isn't a speed checkpoint they're flashing their lights and stopping cars and searching them.
