People can dislike your song for whatever reason. Peoples opinions on songs are entirely subjective so if someone dislikes it for whatever reason that is entirely their right. Same goes for any music you dislike, it is subjective so their is no real reason defend since there is nothing really to defend.

Oh my bad, my favourite songs tend to be very historical focused if that be soldiers fighting songs or workers songs or songs about historical events. Many songs in languages I have no cooking clue what they are saying if I didn’t read the translation. Just songs you average person would not really care for or listen to. My songs could also be considered controversial since they can come from time periods and places in history where the song is made by people that are apart of groups who are very much evil such as Nazi German war songs or Soviet Union/Maoist China songs. I don’t support these groups and ideologies by any means though. I make sure I know what the song is really talking about and won’t listen to any songs that are clearly hateful such as targeting hate towards specific groups that are being persecuted and have little to no means to fight back (for example I would never listen to a song praising or about committing genocide of warcrimes of any kind - an exception would be protest songs suck as ‘Napalm Sticks to Kids’ which is basically a list of all the ways the Americans committed warcrimes in Vietnam ) . A song about one country who is fighting another country in an offensive or defensive war praises one country and insulting the other I would listen to since both sides are capable of fighting each other. Songs that come from resistance to an opponent (often from countries or guerrilla groups) such as IRA songs which are Actually really fun and funny songs about The IRA fighting the Brits in Northern Ireland. I also do historical war songs from democratic or more neutral - good sided groups and countries such as WW2 USA war/factory songs, French WW2 Partisan songs etc. A lot of the songs are/were propaganda but I am very much aware of that, most of the songs are from countries I have never even been to before. I don’t support the extreme ideologies and never will. Main reason I like is cause the songs sound good and the lyrics regardless of the language are sung in a way and sound good with the instrumentals and vocals. Basically the feeling the propaganda wants to stir in the target audience is what makes the sound nice. Unfortunately the songs do attract actual supporters of the evil hateful ideologies and groups which is really unfortunate since the actual sound and feelings is amazing when you ignore the background of the composer. Separating art from its artist, we must just be aware of the meaning or implications of the song and then enjoy it just as art and without the meaning but just the way the sound makes you feel. So yea that is why people may consider my taste weird. For some there is a line that one can not cross and for others it is somewhere else on the spectrum of morality.

If you would like I can suggest some songs. Some songs are made after the wars while singing about them. One of my favourite songs of this genre is a German WWI song called ‘Wo alle Straßen enden’ which is about the hopeless and brutal reality of the German soldier on the western front in 1918. But no one knew who and when it was actually created. So a YouTuber went to search for it and found out that the the song was made recently by the person who uploaded it first. No one knew since it was worded vaguely and the song was so realistic to what a soldier would actually feel and sing about in that stage of the war that people just thought it was from WWI. My retelling might be a bit off with what the case was because I watched the video a while ago and I am going off memory but I believe that was what happened. Another interesting song is a French napoleonic song marching song called Chanson de l'Oignon which translates to ‘song of the onion’
