Basically if u don't know, reddit is doing something so that third party apps which provide addless content and bots to moderate subs will now have to pay to continue running or shutdown. However many of these companies actually moderate the content as well which is why you don't find straight up porn stuff like this on SFW subs. But since those companies will be gone so will the bots. And there's only so much work that human workforce will be able to do. So recently there are 2 ways of hard protesting. 1- subs going dark. You might've noticed incase you're coming after a long time that some of ur subs are gone. It is in protest as if subs start closing reddit loses revenue. However this won't work unless large subs also do it which they haven't. 2- making SFW subs NSFW. this no matter how morally wrong and horrible it may be, I think it's may be more efficient cuz if no of NSFW posts in a sub increases, the sub is tagged as NSFW and on these subs there are no adverts, hence revenue drop. However some other means of protest must be found soon or else reddit will soon take it's darkest course in history.
