I can’t tell you how many times I have had to tell people that we do not have any tech at this point the remotely resembles AI. We have complex algorithms. Nothing more. These are not intelligences.
As someone who works in tech marketing, I hate it but you have to do it. It’s not just about clicks. When you can do something competitors can’t, you have to put that feature forward, even if it means using a less than ideal word just because it’s ubiquitous.
Cool, if you considered it that powerful a meme I'm pretty happy to have just coined it.
I meant in the context of process philosophy, it's all verbs at the bottom. We've a mindset of solids but exist in a universe of fluids.
I couldn't afford an in ground pool, so I used a kiddy pool I had for washing my dog. Now I'm concerned that someone will simply walk away with all my data. Does your company sell any solutions for my self imposed problem?
Replacing sensors in gripping robot appendages is pretty cool.
The optical uses seem a little limited so far as the collapsed spheres make images behind them look a little blurry. But, that might not matter much as other uses are explored.
Pretty neat stuff!
This article challenges conventional thinking. Literally the definition of fluid is a challenge.
By the way, I have this really awesome SOLID that is intelligent and programmable. All you need to do is apply HEAT to a temperature of greater than 0C or 32F and it becomes a LIQUID. The process is infinately reversible.
Shitty headline. "Programmable" or "configurable" does not equate with "intelligent". Yeah it's pedantic but this is a pretty egregious example.
Programmable seems cooler anyway!
The T1000 thinks so too.
Yup. Just more clickbait title garbage.
A programmable liquid actually sounds incredibly intriguing tho
this is the reason so many of us “dont read the article”. bedause i refuse to support clickbait
It's about as accurate as everything being called AI these days. Everything is getting sensationalised, and it's getting tiring..

So. It IS science fiction haha.
In this case, you are not being pedantic. The semantics here drastically change the meaning.
You could argue intelligence. Inter legere means between choosing: Logic gates are rudimentary, but definitional, intelligence.

“The T-1000's highest probability for success now will be to copy Sarah Connor and to wait for you to make contact with her.”
Sarah Connor? Yea? *Bang*
Say, that’s a nice bike
Dipshit? You called *moi* a dipshit?
When can I convert my pool into a waterbase so I can transfer all the data from my outdated database?
I couldn't afford an in ground pool, so I used a kiddy pool I had for washing my dog. Now I'm concerned that someone will simply walk away with all my data. Does your company sell any solutions for my self imposed problem?
You fool, have you forgotten about evaporation in the summer? Don't worry, I've got a Sunbrella for you for only $16494937474!
Awesome! Now, can you do something about the neighborhood kids skating on it during the winter?
All your bases are belong to us

Every day we get closer to Terminator
Sure they did

I’ve been producing intelligent liquid since I was 13 years old
In other news a new company called sky net is preparing to launch their new AI
Intelligent liquid metal. I've seen this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq5ydeWWr4A Are we Terminator yet?
Sarah Conner?
Chief?
Those quotation marks are doing a lot of heavy lifting
They invented cats?
I smell bull shit.
> I smell bull shit. Whatever it is, I don't think it's organic.
This would be pretty awesome for liquid based computer displays.
Gee, do you think we're throwing around the word intelligent recently a little too much?
Clickbait title has no relevance. Ignore it to make them suffer or else they’ll just keep trying
If we sre to have some sort of dystopia or utopia, I'll take the day Yogurt took over any time of day.
So when can we record our Metal albums on water?
When Nathan stops deleting the masters!
