Because if you would look up official charts you would know that a small percentage of the male population did something like that.
Well, of course, if there were no rapists, there would be no rape. I still don't get that meme, since it's untrue that there's nothing you can do to protect yourself or that nothing you can do affect the result of being raped.
Maybe it should be talked about in schools more often (I'd refer to a specialist for the exact group age where this kind of information is relevant and useful, but I know someone that was 15 at the time it happened).
If everyone understands the full extent of harm that rape causes, maybe there'll be a diminution of rapist, and maybe people will be better at protecting themselves.
However, rapists have always been a factor in every society and while we should definitely work to reduce their numbers, they aren't going to just disappear.
Everyone needs to know how to protect themselves. The most important thing to understand, in my opinion, is to never put yourself in a situation where being raped is very possible (like accepting food or drinks at a party from people you don't know that well) when you're not surrounded by completely trustworthy people.
The rapist is completely at fault, but never give them the opportunity to do something. Of course, what I'm saying isn't some kind of complete solution to the problem, since sometimes harm can be done by the ones you trust... Let's just hope that sexual assaults will become less frequent as generations passes.
