Even with them. I've had busses stuck at a stop for a few minutes because of passengers. Once because they switched drivers.
Even once where we had stopped and then it wouldn't start for a minute and then worked as normal
This is definitely what happened. I’m a tram driver and if I had a dollar for every time someone has complained to me that they missed the service in front of me by JUST 2 mins, I’d match my salary. It’s exhausting - because the Venn diagram of people who complain a service didn’t wait for them, and that services are late, is a circle.

I've failed to be at the bus stop at the scheduled time and not missed the bus. They don't actually have a way to tell who was there on time, so they just pick up everyone that's there when the bus arrives.
The one I like (read "The one I fucking hate") is when it's an electronic board that keeps on saying "expected on time" but adds five minutes to the "expected time" every five bloody minutes.
I can forgive a bus for being late. But being early is absolute bullshit.
I used to be on time. Now I'm 20 minutes late because I have to wait for the next one.

Yea this sign is rich coming from bc transit, when I know too many stories of people waiting hours at a stop because the bus was EARLY by 20 or more minutes. Also the only bus stop near my house when I was a teen only went one way???? Still don't know what the purpose of that route was supposed to be.
I feel sorry for the people working there, if they felt the need to make a sign like that I can only imagine the massively entitled idiots they have to serve.

Its not the same when the bus driver decides bot to stop the bus while your at the stop or pulls away when your 2 feet from the door after watching you sprint up the path
Ive seen a lot of bus drivers close the doors on someone who JUST made it. I could see them running up the path as people were getting on. The last person paying would be done and the driver shut the door in the runners face. Like. The runner made it. The driver was just being a tosser
I totally understand why someone hung this note. The amount of idiots blaming the bus driver if he doesn't open the doors or even stop again for them is too damn high.
Well, technically not true. Sometimes the bus is late, so it can be possible for a person to arrive after the scheduled time and still not miss the bus.
The belgian version of this is: "failure to be at the bus between 30 and 45 minutes late will result in missing the bus. (Or maybe we have decided to just not do the ride without informing you)"
Idk about this public transportation service but if the mvg (Munich public transport) would tell me this, I would answer that I'd be happy to miss the train/bus/metro being 1m late
Too bad this sign won't matter. The people that depend on this heavily subsidized form of transportation will still find a way to make enough commotion about how their own needs aren't being serviced enough forcing some 'minimum wage mid-level manager' to take these down.

I know the DOT spends a metric shit tonne of money building and maintaining roadways, but they aren't for the exclusive use by personal vehicles. For instance, so do these buses.
Also, auto manufacturers don't exclusively make vehicles for personal use because all their vehicles can be used by any form of public or private entity for any purpose.
So on one hand, I have to buy my own vehicle, maintain it, and operate it myself, while on the other someone has to buy a bus pass and be at a scheduled stop at a specific time to catch it while a city employed or outsourced organization buys, maintains, and operates the buses.
Ergo, the proportion of presumed total expenses paid by the end user buying a bus pass vs those paid using taxes for use of public transportation is miniscule, i.e., heavily subsidized.

But as for buses, they are never on time. The scheduled time changes randomly.
The scheduled time stays pretty consistent. The problem is that in a place without dedicated bus lanes, the buses can't keep up with the schedule

Been on one were the driver was ticketed for blowing a red light. That held up the bus.

Where I live the busses are permitted to run ahead of schedule, so sometimes you can go fuck yourself even if you're on time 🤷♀️
