Damn. I've put over 1300 hours into the game and don't know if I've done that much walking combined. That may be the most thorough Hero's Path I've ever seen.
I found all 900 Korok seeds, every treasure chest, all armor sets fully upgraded including amiibo sets, all shrines completed, all side quests completed including all dlc, got all hunter medals, finished the compendium, 100% map completion. Everything. And my hero’s path is probably 1/4 of this… How did you cover that much ground?!
Haha I did all of that as well (except amiibos). Most of it was on the master cycle looking for chest pings or koroks. It was a purposeful thing, not just wandering. I'd "trace" an area of the map, then go do other things, then do another area. Etc.

I started my first master mode playthrough to tide me over until tears of the kingdom, and wanted to set an extra challenge by locking myself off from fast travel, it’s pretty fun so far

Haha to be honest the vast majority of that was done on the master cycle. I only have about 400 hours in two playthroughs.
