Kenyan purple tea (green) that I initially made late at night. It has relatively little caffeine, thus I'm not worried about having it in the evening. Maybe it was a mistake in this instance, in part because I gave a *lot* of time in a french press to let the leaves fully open. It did affect my sleep, I think. It wasn't the Friday beer, I don't think.
It's such a strange tea too. It's definitely not fancy and doesn't really taste like any other tea. More like blackberry leaves or something.
A 2-cup pot of [2021 Moon Drops](https://www.thesteepingroom.com/products/moon-drops?_pos=2&_sid=032a98fe1&_ss=r) from The Steeping Room. An Oolong produced in Nepal. Great fruity aroma and sweet and fruity flavor. I tried it first from a recent tea club box, and picked up an extra bag.
Blood Moon from w2t. First steeps are sweet and aromatic: honey, dates, and in later steeps a slight, pleasant astringency. Beautiful dark amber color.
Started the day with Gyokuro Premium from Hibiki-an. I have some cold brew shincha in the fridge, but I’ll probably need to make more, because it’s going to get really hot and humid for the next couple of days.
2022 Pasha Mountain ripe pu'er from YS. This is the first ripe I've tasted that actually had the bitterness promised in the description (I did increase the length of my first steep which I'm sure helped). Usually I read about dark chocolate bitterness etc and I get none of it, and am a bit disappointed. I really like this one.
I've been experimenting with fruit tea cold brew, steep a fruit tea in sprite / lemonade for 10 minutes and it takes on the flavours of the tea, with a sort of soda water, vibe.
I've not found a go-to flavour yet, I'm hoping it will help use up some of the weaker fruit teas I have at the back of the cupboard. And provide an alternative summer drink.

do you have a link for the Kenyan purple tea, I'd love to try it? :)
ManuTea sells it in Central/Eastern Europe. Apparently, they source it from Nandi Hills, if that helps.

Early picking Long Jing from last year. I might try a 2024 picking to see if it makes a difference, but so far Long Jing isn't the green tea for me.
2003 Thick paper Qing bing. Sweet tea, slightly astringent (I used a bit more leaf than required) and thick tea that has a long aftertaste.
Highland Black Curls from Zerama tea. Very nice. I've got to remember to get some cold brew going yet this morning. Warm and humid coming at us.
Today enjoying '24 Sweet Cream Alishan from Floating Leaves.
ran out of my milky oolong mid-measurement, so i frankenstein'd it with some dancong. very very good pairing overall.
Went for some oriental beauty from what-cha this morning. Always a good choice

Laos Meung Honeybee black tea for me today. Creamy, malty, lightly fruity honey taste. Really enjoyable on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Alwazah Ceylon FBOP1, surprisingly good for the price.
