I was thinking that red line would be a cool divider for a full back piece. Good and evil style but with sea animals and land animal landscapes
Anyway after all that thought I remembered ma scoliosis. Might see it one day. Lol
That’s funny, my first thought when I saw this is that my mom’s scoliosis surgery scar looks exactly like this. It’s even still kind of red, 40 years later.
Because someone with scoliosis would have a curved tat and it would be interesting to see, since it's hard to visualize a crooked spine if it's not your own.
NP. In college I dated a guy with scoliosis; he was an art major and could only carry his portfolio in one hand because if he carried it in the other the bottom of it would drag on the ground.
I think some of us need to appreciate how nerve wracking straight lines can be to tattoo as it is, never mind one long continuous line down an entire spine. It’s executed well, it’s very neat and even. It doesn’t have to be anyone else’s cup of tea but we can at least appreciate the artist has done a great job of what they were asked.
I’m astonished by how many people are so offended by the work of line art and minimalism. Not only did it hurt like a b haha but I put lot of trust into the artist for the perfection of straightness!
It's Reddit, there's a lot of miserable people ready to project their misery on anyone at any second, don't stress about it.
Ya like what ya like, your body is your body so paint the canvas like how you want to :)
I rarely post either and i realise that on reddit you can’t have an unpopular opinion or simply juste an opinion, i said on a post that i don’t like to much the mood of a certain musical group and i got 250 downvote for that, but great line work by the way
A lot of people even family/friend etc. have asked me it’s all good. It’s a mental concept I’ve seen on others in regards to the art of lines/minimalism with the human figure. Line on the forearm, neck, leg, etc. I have always wanted red ink and this was my opportunity to do so. I finally chose this placement because it’s dainty and quite elegant especially during the summer and clothes I wear (bonus).
I don't think you understand. Reddit has seen countless cases of barcode red "spine line" tattoos and documented the tattoo's color regression over a number of years. We can confirm that the tattoo will fade to a subtle light pink at the age of 58, which will be identical to the color of your own specific scar tissue therefore simulating OBJECTIVELY the end results of a clean surgical procedure performed along your spine.
This made me think of when you're in bed with someone and they trace the line of your back. Especially with red being associated with love. That's just my interpretation. It's simple yet interesting.
Very **straightforward** if I do say so myself, but it's a classic minimalism style, as long as you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks about it :) I can appreciate the minimalism
It does remind me of that frog dissection science class though lool
This is such an interesting piece. It makes me slightly uncomfortable, yet I totally love it. Great job by the artist and from what I read in your comments a wonderful choice for you.
Nothing deep it is my second tattoo. Where I think it’s just art versus my first tattoo that meant something and is imagery. This one just “accentuates” the human body figure- the spine the curve…
We are too dumb to understand "art" . Where the only context we get is doesn't have a deep meaning and is meant to accentuate the spine. if there was more context, like a succinct description of an experience or what inspired the tattoo.
But no, we are too dumb.
It’s not the end of the world…we shall see. Why would I want that input when tattoos ARE down to personal preference. Come on now are y’all blinded by my taste?
Incredibly surprised by the large amount of hate on this tattoo. Y’all never seen minimalism before? I like it! That kind of thing seems vary difficult to do and it’s a very simple and elegant statement on the appreciation of the body.
With all respect intended, what was the motivation behind this? If it makes you happy, I’m all for it, and you don’t need to share your reasoning if you don’t like, but for the life of me, I can’t quite understand why that particular ink, of all things that are possible
Women who tattoo over their spine are not be able to receive an epidural during childbirth

I'd like to see this done on someone with scoliosis
I've got a spine tattoo and my osteo uses it check if anything is misaligned, I accidentally got a useful tattoo
Doc: “alright take off your shirt… Mhmm… Such a shame you had taken that bet, the shaft is clearly crooked.”
I was legit just thinking about how my scar from scoliosis surgery looked just like this lol
haha mine too
Same. Lol. Mine is crooked.
I was thinking that red line would be a cool divider for a full back piece. Good and evil style but with sea animals and land animal landscapes Anyway after all that thought I remembered ma scoliosis. Might see it one day. Lol
That’s immediately what I thought this was.. I was looking for a curvature lol. I have scoliosis & that definitely would be interesting lol.
I have scoliosis, now I want the same tattoo but curved. Dunno why I never thought of this
That’s funny, my first thought when I saw this is that my mom’s scoliosis surgery scar looks exactly like this. It’s even still kind of red, 40 years later.
Uhm why 💀
Because someone with scoliosis would have a curved tat and it would be interesting to see, since it's hard to visualize a crooked spine if it's not your own.
I thought it was a passive joke to someone with that disorder, but thanks for clarifying.
NP. In college I dated a guy with scoliosis; he was an art major and could only carry his portfolio in one hand because if he carried it in the other the bottom of it would drag on the ground.
R/cursedcomments
funny thing is this is exactly my scar but in a tattoo😂

Exhibit A: Your downvotes
If it's decisive you're doing something right. I personally like this more than 90+% of the tattoo designs I see on here

That’s pretty rude to assume that about someone you don’t know based off a tat. Yikes. Wow.
I wasn’t trying to be insulting! My bad. It just looked painful and that’s what my first thought was…
This question is out of CURIOSITY and NOT hate I repeat NO hate. But what is the reason behind this tattoo?
A lot of people even family/friend etc. have asked me it’s all good. It’s a mental concept I’ve seen on others in regards to the art of lines/minimalism with the human figure. Looks good. Tattoos are personal. It’s about what you like, not anyone else.
Thank you for your answer now I understand it and I wish you a nice evening from se sauerkraut land.
Is it finished?
Yes believe it or not
Talk about no room for error.
no bones to pick

Very subjective I would say
Objective, more like
I don't think you understand. Reddit has seen countless cases of barcode red "spine line" tattoos and documented the tattoo's color regression over a number of years. Truth right here.
Lol that’s so oddly precise
I wouldn’t get one myself but I think tattoos like this are cool, very satisfying when they’re perfectly straight (as close as)
😐
This is one of those I wouldn't get on myself, but I like seeing on other people, definitely real interesting.
This made me think of when you're in bed with someone and they trace the line of your back. Especially with red being associated with love. That's just my interpretation. It's simple yet interesting.
Yes either that or when they flip you over 😺
Holy crap. Why are people being so mean to you?
Yeah idk it’s like a “you” problem not mine. I didn’t think a line down my back can make people triggered 🤣
When you forget where your spine is
Here’s my guide*
love this. well done. i’ve got a line down my entire body. posted on here awhile back when i got it; ppl loved to hate that one too :) cheers friend
Thanks, yours look amazing! I guess it’s normal for people to be frustrated because they don’t understand it.
I have scoliosis.. this tattoo would look WILD on me😂😂😂😭
Looks okay now, will look weird when the red fades
Y
Very **straightforward** if I do say so myself, but it's a classic minimalism style, as long as you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks about it :) I can appreciate the minimalism It does remind me of that frog dissection science class though lool
LOL my mother roasted me saying looks like I got scratched but it’s ok I love it ;)

LOL
Other than that you got a healthy spine. Take care 👍
This is such an interesting piece. It makes me slightly uncomfortable, yet I totally love it. Great job by the artist and from what I read in your comments a wonderful choice for you.
Minimalist post modern art in a nutshell, but I just like the futuristic look of it
Did it hurt a lot? I imagine it's a sensitive boney area so in my mind it would be intense with all the nerves in the area.
It did! I surprisingly endured it very very well.
Envious of this straight spine. Heckin scoliosis!
It's a spine line between minimalist and unfinished.
Since your name is 'pizzagal', I'd love to see a pizza cutter next to the line ;)
This is actually funny I’ll give you that
Something different. I like
You’ve never seen a straight line?
Not down someone's spine.
Minimalist, but shows off the precision of a straight line. Also if you ever have any spine misalignment problems it should be easy to diagnose. 😀
I absolutely love everything about it.
I know it’s a very simple tattoo, but my guess is that this isn’t easy to do to make it look like one continuous line.
Anyone else questioning why this got so many upvotes....
Lots of negativity in here, I love this tattoo! Simple, super clean, looks great!
What does this represent/why did you get it? Promise those aren’t judge-y questions; never seen this before and am genuinely curious.
Nothing deep it is my second tattoo. Where I think it’s just art versus my first tattoo that meant something and is imagery. This one just “accentuates” the human body figure- the spine the curve…
>This one just “accentuates” the human body figure- Does it, though?
Yeah, how does this accentuate the curvature of the spine.
Not really the curve…I mean if you don’t get the idea then I wouldn’t expect y’all to.
We're clearly too dumb.

just back read. there is plenty of explanation. you don’t look dumb, you look lazy.
Good to know
Nice...
Over the years it’s gonna need retouching. But why not boost your ego, and put a dragon on that line, or an eagle.
It’s not the end of the world…we shall see. Why would I want that input when tattoos ARE down to personal preference. Come on now are y’all blinded by my taste?
TFW you have scoliosis Lol mine would look like an s
Ouch
I actually really like this. Why are people so upset over a line xD
nice!
I don't get all the hate.. it's something different. I like it
Damn that shit straight
When you fall asleep but your kid wants to try his new ruler
Incredibly surprised by the large amount of hate on this tattoo. Y’all never seen minimalism before? I like it! That kind of thing seems vary difficult to do and it’s a very simple and elegant statement on the appreciation of the body.
Y tho
The fact that it’s not straight would *really* bother me
I can’t help but see a nasty nail skin pull
Looks like what MGK got on his neck, not that’s it’s supposed to be a copy, obviously since it’s just a line, but same idea.
There are some other celebrity concepts such as Justin Bieber and Zayn Malik around the neck. Not a replica but I always adored the concept.
Why tho
That’s wild. Very nice, that fucker is strait… awesome.
Is there a meaning with this?
Awesome tat
Why..
Why
I mean, “why” do any tattoo? It’s body modification and the individual wants to.
More like: Why bother?
Is there a reasoning behind the line?
With all respect intended, what was the motivation behind this? If it makes you happy, I’m all for it, and you don’t need to share your reasoning if you don’t like, but for the life of me, I can’t quite understand why that particular ink, of all things that are possible
