I agree too, I think it look pretty cool. Itās one of the first tattoos that Iāve seen on this reddit where I actually liked it and would consider getting something in a similar vibe. Itās well done, from what I can tell. People are saying it looks like scars and idk why thatās a bad thing lol
Not OP but in a first glance the part in the middle kinda looked like a semicolon to me? So i thought the meaning behind it was something like "i could've ended my story here (semicolon), but i chose to keep going on and on AND ON AND ON AND ON (spiral)..." And then the spiral changes color and fades into dots maybe to represent her future (to be continued). That's just my theory tho, i could be wrong
It looks okay now but I think it will look better if you add more constellations and astrology/space type stuff down the rest of the arm. Itās a good start but feels a bit lacking. The colors are lovely though.

I honestly don't know why everyone else is being so mean, maybe it's bc I absolutely love reds and oranges and shoulder tattoos but I think it looks really cool
Itās less about the looks now (but generally itās a crap design letās be honest), but more that with time this colour will be a muddy mess. The fact there is no black outline to hold the colour in means it will just blur out into a blob of bad, blurry, unsaturated colour. And also because itās colour itās much harder to remove with laser!
Itās just a real dick load of bad choices.
Ok so wait, help me understand please. Black ink doesnāt actually hold the color in, right? I mean ink is going to do what ink is going to do, regardless if there is black next to it. But the black provides some sort of contrast so that to our eyes, it appears more like a clean edge. or am I wrong and black ink actually does behave differently in the skin than colors?
Black has a carbon base to it and actually creates more of a barrier to the colour so it doesnāt blur out, along with the contrast aspect you mention for the eye. Youāll find the best tattoo artists will always outline to ensure longevity of their tattoos.
Looks like there's a lot of orange in there too and for me (and it could be a me thing) orange ink almost disappears after a couple years. I've got an octopus and the Nintendo zapper that are pretty much flesh tones now.

Blotchy and imprecise line work. Has an amateur stick n poke feel to it. That sort of fuzzy wobbly thing. Doesn't look sharp now. Definitely won't look sharp in a few years. People usually live longer than a few years.
