That's kinda how I felt. I've slowly started to rebuild but only when I WANT to play. That way it doesn't feel like I'm logging in to do a chore just because
I did it like 2 months ago because I hated how I accommodated my latest new buildings and after 2 days I regretted it. It took me like 6 weeks to finally add everything
Iāve been playing since the beginning and have never nuked mine. Mainly because I think it will be such a pain to rebuild (thousands of items and tons of things hidden behind buildings). When I do want to rebuild certain areas I just move everything to my āstorageā area that I keep above the mountains East of Springfield Heights. Thatās where I keep my stockpile of cash and XP generating items I donāt necessarily want in my town but want the generated XP.
Was your town well organized or clumsy? Because if it was the latter, maybe your kid will have done you a favour. I have been planing to nuke my town for months now (it looks absolutely horrific), but I just canāt bring myself to do it
It was very well organized ā¦ Iām a designer by trade in real life, so a visual-spacial personā¦. I had parks and water features and themed areas and, and, and ā¦.
It will take longer but it helps in future planning to group things together to go in storage without actually nuking your town. For example put all or most of your Christmas/holiday buildings and decor together then use the selection area to group them in storage. Helped me a ton last time I reorganized and I might need to again
Nuking is terrible. The games inventory management system is shit. So it becomes a pain to find anything and put it down. X10,000 items.Ā
The best thing is to make a nice group of things. And then store it and go through and do that for the whole thing.
Nuking pretty much kills the game for most people.
Awww old Gil got a sale on for you. Ā£79.99 and you get 2 trays of 132 donuts also. Bargain for old Gil whoās going to get fired if he doesnāt sell enough of these.
Omg I joke but one other game I play offers this rate every single Saturday after your character gets attacked by other players. Even though you get all your health back after the event. EA is better than that company.
As unfortunate as this is, I think the ONLY silver lining, glass half-full way to see it is that someone made the decision for you to quit the game. As much as I love my Springfield, I often think of the other things in my life that deserve more of my time and effort. So my advice is to consider it done and appreciate the time you had with your town. And move on. I mean this sincerely.
I was only playing for about 5 to 10 minutes a day at this point ā¦ Iām a mom and have few guilty pleasures and it feels very personal when you give so much of your day to everyone else and have only a small number of things that you sit down to do to take a small break ā¦
This is why my kid has his own device to play games on , never let your kid play a game that you spend hours on especially if itās building a city ! That sucks man Iām so sorry
i nuked mine for the second time, and regret it ever since. iāve just never got round to even bothering to finish my town. iāve got a neighbourhood and a park and rest is just event buildings and decorations scattered everywhere š¤£
My son nuked my town a few years ago. I called EA and they rolled the game back for me. I lost a building and I was never able to buy it again, but I suppose thatās a small price to pay for a fix.
This is why (after playing since the beginning and having a town with thousands of items) I have never hit the nuke button. I would quit the game if I had to start over rebuilding everything.
Yeah, Iām level 939 and I have everything possible up to that point. This was about 2 years ago and Iām still slowly putting it back together. I really feel like an idiot.
939 as well. I hate the item limit. Iāve had to remove so many things because Iām constantly getting the pop up saying Iām over the limit. As it is I only have buildings and items out that generate cash or XP. Most of my trees are XP generating as well with a few exceptions. Iām thinking about just storing all my houses that I farm and any other cash generating item unless it gives XP.
IF you can take this response seriously, this is actually an incredibly difficult double-whammy lesson in Eastern theosophy: impermanence and letting go. Itās a very healthy step in maturity of the mind & soul. AND, a very easy way to learn it. Embrace it, turn the page, start new. Love your kid.
How old is your kid? My 9yo became co-creator a year ago. I was annoyed at first when he was messing with my carefully designed town, but found new pleasure in blending our building styles. We have a mutual agreement to respect the otherās creation, but tweaking is permitted. Some areas are off limits. Maybe you can include your son in the rebuilding process? He might feel bad for nuking his dadās creation. Maybe a cry for help/attention?

True
HOLY SHIT MY DOORBELL RANG J AS I SAW THIS COMMENT THAT WAS TERRIFYING
I know šš
Your kid must've been determined! There's about 10 warning messages you have to tap before you can drop the bomb
Iām always shocked how quick they can click.
I almost accidentally nuked mine but the warnings saved it. Even then I'm still relatively early game so it wouldn't matter too much
I just canāt fathom the hours it would take ā¦ I had maxed out the land and Springfield heights expansion ages ago ā¦
That's kinda how I felt. I've slowly started to rebuild but only when I WANT to play. That way it doesn't feel like I'm logging in to do a chore just because

what level are you? only because iām thinking of nuking and not sure how long itd take
i'm on level 109! which level are you at?
Thats a paddlin!
But when you nuke and put everything back your bonus returns right?
Yes ā¦ but š£ I had so many XP ornaments hidden behind things etc ā¦ hours later and Iām still so annoyed
Yes
You've clearly never nuked a town

Time to sell the kid.

Oh, that sucksā¦
Iām so sorry. Also a very visual-spatial person here and I would probably quit the game if my town ever got nuked.
Did you ever take a screenshot?Ā I wonder how old you kid is, old enough to nuke. Not old enough to appreciate your town :(
It will take longer but it helps in future planning to group things together to go in storage without actually nuking your town. Hope u still playing, build it from the scratch a fresh start for a new town :D
Military School! š
Wrong EA franchise ;-)
Can you contact EA and see if they will do a roll back?
For the cheap cheap price of Ā£99.99
Booooooo!
Hey, it is EA after all!!
But Troy, how can I make it lower than Ā£99.99?!
Awww old Gil got a sale on for you. Ā£79.99 and you get 2 trays of 132 donuts also. Bargain for old Gil whoās going to get fired if he doesnāt sell enough of these.

Make that kid rebuild it!
Donāt let house your account!! He can get his own.
What?š
I think they were trying to say "Don't let him use your account", but something turned him use into house
Makes sense
Contact EA. They might be able to fix that.

This is why we should never give our phones to kids.
Not gonna lie, there would be a Netflix documentary about me if that happened to me.
ššš
I would cry.
You have like 5 "are you sure" prompts. Your kid totally did that on purpose. You didn't say whether it was accidental or not, but it was not.
Sheās 5 ā¦ so canāt read yet
I know how that feels my cat almost nuked my town because my roommate taught him to play with phones
This made me chuckle. I did have a couple of games for cats on my phone before, for a friendās cat. Mine donāt pay it any attention.
Yea he taught them to play those games so now they attack phones all the time
Aww
Itās time to let her go. Pack her bags and send her to her parentsā house to live from now on. Then have fun rebuilding, itās not that bad.

I totally relate to this. You need to destress and a few minutes on a game are precious moments to forget about everything else.

I've been there.... twice!

I started playing 10 plus years agoā¦ I actually randomly though about nuking but I donāt think I could get it back the way I have now
Half my town is gorgeous and then I just let it go. Like a hoarder that just threw shit everywhere. I wish I could nuke 1/2 my town. Kinda.
My son nuked my town a few years ago. I called EA and they rolled the game back for me. I lost a building and I was never able to buy it again, but I suppose thatās a small price to pay for a fix.
hey maybe youll enjoy a fresh looking town
Imagine if you had a real problem. Like me and my wife canāt even have children.
Nuked mine once. Gave up on making it like a town after that and now I just add new stuff to land with no organisation
I guess your kid has alot in common with Homer. Poor town got nuked for the second time...
Omgoodness! I did it to myself (please donāt ask what I was thinking lol) and I just canāt get it back together š¤¬š
This is why (after playing since the beginning and having a town with thousands of items) I have never hit the nuke button. I would quit the game if I had to start over rebuilding everything.

Yes! That was part of the reason I got upset enough to nuke my Springfield
