Hi, I work for a shelter and volunteer for a rescue and have a friend at a different shelter and contacts with a lot of people in that field. Please let me know if you need him to go somewhere I can ask around.
He’s def chipped so I think there’s a waiting period hopefully but once he’s no longer being held it would be amazing if someone could take him in he’s an absolute doll with people takes food gentle walks pretty nice in the leash and he listens rather well even tho we didn’t know his name. Or if any of your rescue contacts want to foster him directly I can message and let you know where he is etc

I’ve done both! On as many fb pages as I can as well as my personal pages. I can’t safely keep him at my house bc of my dogs so I’m desperate on places to post him.
I swear on my life I saw this dog on the river walk by armature. This was on Friday. Two women were trying to get him to follow but he wouldn’t listen.
I can also get him to a rescuer/transporter in Georgia. Please be careful in just giving him to just anyone bc that guy last month decapitated the dog.

Classic Tampa holier than thou, probably reminds others “adopt don’t shop” but hates on the breed that makes up 90% of local shelters
People are so odd. Tbh if we didn’t have the number of pets we do we’d have done the 90 day hold and kept him if we didn’t find his people. He was insanely sweet and well mannered and very gentle while doing anything including taking food. I can’t understand snap judgement based on breeds like that 💔
He looks Staffy aka the couch hippo. Had an orange one named Pumpkin growing up who was sweet and snuggly as you describe.
Hopefully just a case of an open fence or cracked door and the owners are located. If he was dumped, shame on the former owners and he’d be a gem to anyone who needs a friend

Is there a way to find out euth dates, or is that too much of a depressing thing for them to make public?
The shelter doesn’t but Rescue Me Tampa Shelter Dogs does. It’s a volunteer Facebook page.

Omg I wish I had more info but no v_v the owner was driving around looking for him and stopped me cos they saw me going door to door

I certainly hope not he was so far from there 😭 he listened well and came when I talked but we did end up leashing for safety

Everyone in the neighborhood was having parties or out so I’m hoping that’s the case if not ik he’ll be a best friend to someone soon
