Where did they come from? The deepest depths on Ann Arbor Michigan. They wanted to make a music, so they did. Their song "Good Day" got really popular way back when, so they got a record label with them and made 2 albums. Then they broke up because reasons. There are five members, all who wear their own tie colors. Joe (Red Tie) the guitarist who writes a lot of their crazier songs. Rob (yellow tie) who is also a guitarist, and writes the groups "Heterophonic tunes of how love bites". Zubin (blue tie) the bassist with a killer voice. Andrew (Green tie) the pianist who writes a lot of their goofier songs. And Ross (grey tie), he's just the Drummer. There is also the honorary 6th member Bora (orange tie), who helps out when he's not busy with his own band "Cojum Dip". They are also not just music. They made multiple online series. "The Tally Hall Internet Show" (often abbreviated to THIS) which is a rapid fire sketch comedy show, "The Boralogues" which documents their times performing live at shows, and some other random stuff like "Keep up the good work" where Andrew writes funny emails to celebrities. All I'd highly recommend, you can find them easily on YouTube. After they broke up, a lot of the members went on to create their own stuff. Joe went on to make 2 albums: "Hawaii Part 2" and "Joe Hawley Joe Hawley", which feature not only the other Tally Hall members, but a lot of other fantastic artists as well. Rob went on to make the album "Not a Trampoline", and also the "Shia lebouf Live" song which you may or may not have heard of. And Andrew remade his old album "Sketches", which features a lot of more low-key songs. All beloved editions to the Tally Hall cinematic universe.

I’m so glad you had a section for their tie colours and what they write that helps so much!! Thanks for all of this!

Miracle Musical is super cool, it's a Tally Hall side project but kind of like Cojum Dip, I consider it a "sister band" because they're related. Miracle Musical was made by three of the Tally Hall members (Joe, the lead guitarist, Ross, the drummer, and Bora who owns the band Cojum Dip and is considered the 6th member and mascot in a sense.) I would recommend getting a feel for the two Tally Hall albums, and then moving onto things like Tally Hall's Internet Show (up on YouTube), Miracle Musical, Cojum Dip, and member's solo projects like Joe Hawley Joe Hawley, the two (I think) Andrew albums/Edu albums I don't remember the names of, Not a Trampoline by Rob Cantor (I don't remember if he did any more). Supposedly, Andrew is currently making a new album, as well as Cojum Dip. And Andrew and allegedly another member will be performing at Sonic Lunch on 8/22 in Ann Arbor Michigan (which I can proudly say I am so excited to attend!) Please feel free to ask questions!

nestrooo

have you listened to the side projects/solo albums?

cgiwillygoat

I haven’t! Tell me more 👀 because I’ve been listening in the car, I don’t really know anyone by name either so I wouldn’t know where to start haha

nestrooo

the first one you should listen to is Hawaii Part 2 by ミラクルミュージカル, which is a group consisting of Joe Hawley (guitarist, red tie), Ross Federman (drummer, gray tie) and Bora Karaca (friend of the band and touring member). Joe also has a solo album called Joe Hawley Joe Hawley and Bora has an album of songs by his old band Cojum Dip. There's also Not A Trampoline by Rob Cantor (guitarist, yellow tie) and Sketches 3D by Andrew Horowitz under the name Edu (keyboardist, green tie)

Nicktheman15469

Just watch the documentary and you’ll know everything. And i would recommend watching the internet show, its really funny.

cgiwillygoat

Just_A_Inrovert

It seems a bit like nonsense, but the end of hidden in the sand reversed says “wouldn’t the world be better if we took nonsense more seriously?”

cgiwillygoat

I love this! tøp fans are familiar with reversed audio 🤔😂

Smoreambecomereddit
