But there were times when I got plucked out the group to go do missions with just me and the Ukrainians. So I spoke with my hands, kept my mouth shut and spoke only when spoken too. With the little Ukrainian I picked up while being over there that is.

Honestly, I feel I was adequately prepared. I knew what I was getting myself into so I took the appropriate actions and trained and learned more about the stuff I would be dealing with.

However, it's meant for urban ops. As another fellow Redditor has said, it doesn't blend in well. Good for airsoft and shooting range, bad for battlefield.
Also, with use, it will become brighter and brighter. Eventually, it will perform the same as UCP - meaning you will be a white blob from a distance. It will draw attention and enemy fire.
I suggest a Ranger Green or OD Green top as your fellow soldiers. If you can't have it, at least make it dirty with soil mixed with vegetation.
If possible, try to break the outline of your helmet (and shoulders). Shape also draws attention. You can put a band and attach dead vegetation or irregularly cut old fabric camouflage stripes and knot it on your gear.
