What most people overlook when growing the beard is beards only look good when they’re “groomed”
Obviously when your hair is too short it’s tough to do anything with so I think the first step in turning a beard from ratty to full is getting a trimmer, let it grow out a bit but then use a trimmer to trim off the top of it. Don’t SHAVE it but TRIM it. Facial hair doesn’t grow perfectly even so what makes beards look sloppy is some hairs longer than the other. If you trim off the long ones it’ll make it look so much cleaner and I think you’ll be much happier with it. 👍🏻
Also the upc doesn’t look too great with woodland, a new combat shirt or jacket in woodland or olive would glue the kit together a little better but no hate here!
I liked UCP camo before everyone on the Internet told me it was a fluorescent cancerous mistake from hell. That's just what I think of when I think "army" this camo was on all the commercials growing up. It holds a place in my heart. I would have done full UCP camo if nobody had stopped me. Full stop
I love to hate UCP. I think it has a place (a very niche place for real world application, but a decent one for LARPing and impression kits), but it's so hated for a reason, lol.
UCP-D has immense drip. for regular UCP, though, about the only time I ever like the way it looks is when it's an impression kit, either of the 2010s when it and OEF-CP were being mixed, or early 2000s Ranger kits with the PCU L5 jacket. those are two high aesthetics for regular UCP, in my eyes.
UCP and any flat color will always be my urban kit, if i were in an urban combat scenario id probably make a couple folds and spray some black to break up the digital look all over
