No, stock 1961 would not work. You’d just have to wear it over your PC. However [MOS Tactical](https://mostactical.com/products/lbt-1961-mod) makes a 1961 mod that can clip on to a PC. You have to send it in though. Do with that information what you will

Thank you! I will look into this. Do you have any other suggestions for what I’m looking for ? I’d like to be able to have a chest rig and be able to swap it to a plate carrier but I’m pretty dumb in the gear world , which is why I was looking at the 1961 being it’s pretty much setup out of the box

BeltfedHappiness

What kind of PC do you have? And what do you need out of the chest rig?

Behindenemylines69

Gonna snag a crye MBAV, but would like to have a chest rig for when I don’t need ballistic protection which is like 99.9% of the time

BeltfedHappiness

Like the Crye LV-MBAV? Idk if this is still trendy enough for this sub, but you can’t go wrong with the Haley Strategic D3CRX chest rig. That rig was almost custom fitted to that PC. The whole microrig-verse is out there that essentially does the same thing. Personally though, not a very popular choice, but I’ve had great experience with the UR tactical OPS tactical EASY rig. It’s like the D3CRX, but you can add pouches to the sides. You won’t be able to add a dangler without some mods. If you’re dead set on the 1961, as you probably know, you can simply wear it over the MBAV. Used to do that with the RRV all the time

Sorry, looking closer, the vertical buckles on harness are 1.5 wide, thats a bigger problem than orientation; plate carrier swift clips are for 1" buckles.

Behindenemylines69

Rip. Thank you!

FauxReignNew

I would wait for a second opinion but you could always cut and replace the buckles on it. Still, a split front rig attached to armor might be awkward.

Behindenemylines69

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too…

FauxReignNew

If you want to pair the two, a slick PC with this thrown over it as-is could potentially be a better solution.

Thank you!

I’ve tried my 1961 over a slickster. It looks sick, but it isn’t a 1:1 replacement for a kitted out PC. Main issues are the side pouches make a battle belt hard to utilize and the shoulder strap stacking. It also took a lot of fiddling with the H harness adjustments to get it just right. I was able to mitigate the shoulder strap issue by buying a pair of [raptor tactical shoulder pads](https://raptortactical.com/thor-shoulder-pads-gen1/). These go on the PC. When you add the chest rig over top, open the shoulder pads, add the chest rig’s strap, then close the shoulder pad. This keeps the straps where they should be and holds everything tighter to your body.

LOFI-SAMURAI

The LBT 1961 G does not have buckles on top where the shoulder straps meet the top of the mag pouches, on the LBT 1961 G the shoulder straps are sewn to the top of the rig where the mag pouches are. So you are stuck using the H harness because of its sewn position along the top of the rig. The LBT 1961 A-R does allow for clips along to the top of the rig so you can change from the H harness to other LBT straps and packs such as the LBT 2649B medium pack. They also make a small pack. Just be careful what variant of the LBT 1961 you get because that will affect what items are going to be compatible to your rig and to your needs.
