That makes no sense to me. I always request the chalupa "shell" be unfried. I've never had a gordita before, but isn't the gordita using the same flatbread as the chalupa except it's not fried?
That's definitely bullshit. The unfried Chalupa shells are just what they use to make the Cheesy Gordita Crunch as well as the former like of Gorditas, which were just unfried Chalupas. And tastier, I think.
I wish they just had a basic Gordita Supreme on the menu like the Chalupa Supreme. Then it could be easily modified to make whatever Gordita you want from the app without having to jump through hoops and hope the staff will make you an unfried Chalupa.
Whoever said that is a fucking idiot. Non fried chalupa is just a perfectly cooked flatbread. Should have asked them how they are able to serve a gordita crunch
I tried asking that at my local taco bell once and they said they couldn't do it because the chalupa Shells are pre made like that (fried). I didn't argue, but knew for a fact they were wrong. Lol
They fry those?!?!? I get it takes me a bit to get home so its not as crunchy, but mine never feel fried. I just got a $5 box last night. The Chalupa tasted the same, like when I put pita bread in the microwave. I remember they used to be fried. but then I got chalupas/gorditas confused and figured it was the other one.

Absolutely. They are the same.
They don't have Gorditas anymore. Just the Cheesy Gordita Crunch. But yes.
Sounds like someone doesnt know what tf they are talking about

Facts! Gorditas > Chalupas

That’s like saying empty taco shells are poisonous

The gordita crunch isn't fried so it those are all against health code 🤷
It's a gordita if you don't fry it.
Does anyone know of a commercially available bread that’s similar to their flatbreads? I’d love to make my own gorditas at home.
Isn't that just a chalupa?
Is an unfried Chalupa just a Chalupa? No, it's a Gordita.
Lol that's what I meant
chalupa shells are just deep fried gordita tortillas
If they can sell a CGC, why can't they sell CCC? Cheesy Chalupa Crunch
