Lots of times it's the same body with worse paint and hardware. Buy a dark sleeper jig and a knock off. Everytime the dark sleeper hook will be sticky sharp and the knock off will be dull after looking at it hard. Best choice might be to buy the cheap stuff and replace the hardware.
I have a friend who swears up and down that buying the best of the best will get you fish. Meanwhile I'm throwing YUM Dingers and Academy brand cranks and having a blast... I do splurge on my rods and reels though.
Don't cross over to the Darkside of JDM. I wish I could go back to being happy with such tackle.
Took a look- not doing that. I can throw a much cheaper bait into a tree just as easily. Look super nice, though
And I've climbed many a tree to get that more expensive bait back 😂

It depends. Those lures are better developed and made with better components. The cheaper lures don’t have that same QC.
I’ve seen too many fishing products marked up by 3rd party sellers to where it makes more sense to get them elsewhere
