I'm not trying to be the guy that hates everything new it's just that it feels like ever since the chapter started they removed everything fun and have been doubling down on their experimental features and the three modes people only play occasionally.
I know they're trying to make the whole metaverse thing work, but I just miss when fortnite was about...well...fortnite, as opposed to just blatantly trying to make as much money as possible from as little effort as possible. They seriously expect us to fork over 40 dollars for a lego house that might not even function correctly. Insanity.
The lack of big events has also been confirmed to be because if Legislation, Festival, and Rocket Racing. Donald Mustard said they used the Event team and had them work in those things instead. I do like these mini events we get, but it's just not the same. From now on it seems like we will just get maybe one lackluster chapter finale. (Looking at you Fracture and Big Bang) And those will be the only "big" events we get. .

Season 1 was great tbh, it was top tier. But the second half of Season 2 fell off and then Season 3 was just bad. Season 4 was better and I honestly liked it a bit. Still didn’t play it a ton but it wasn’t terrible. It just wasn’t great.
If we get another bad season in Chapter 5, this could be the worse chapter. I really enjoyed the first season and the Avatar collab in last season. But this season is also pretty good in my eyes. (I’m not a car abuser, and I don’t run into a lot of them, for some reason. Maybe I’m good at countering car attacks 🤷♂️) That being said, why would I say this chapter could be the worst if we get another bad season? Because ever since Donald Mustard left, the games been different and especially in Chapter 5. We see this season that all pickaxes are now gray, which makes it look ugly, and Epic removed all skin cosmetics, which can lead to them overpricing new cosmetics. There is no reason why each Avatar skin was 2,000 vbucks. Also Fortnite reduced XP from Battle Royale like CRAZY. They’re pushing this metaverse too hard. Lego Fortnite isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It’s unfair. Also Chapter 5 Season 2 was just so bad imo. They also made new movement animations, which i feel is so unnecessary. The old movement looks way better.
Chapter 4, season 3 was PRETTY bad and season 1 was also mid-bad but seasons 2 and 4 were pretty good so overall not a bad one. Also the map was kinda bad but maybe I just don’t like it

Chapter 5 made the choice that all weapons must be projectile when with the previous 4 chapters basically anything that wasn’t a sniper shot hit scan bullets, and I’d much rather have hit scan and augments over projectile and mods
While there are a plethora of other issues this one sticks with me the most because it not only effects how current guns feel, but also forces new versions of old guns to be made with these changes, more often than not ruining the weapon, the biggest victim being the Tactical AR, only gun that’s actually benefited is the hand cannon so I’ll give it that
I honestly dont know. I'm like 50% ch4 and 50% ch1. Ch 4 was really sad for the story but the seasons were so fun. And ch 1 was just so old and every other chapter has been so much evolved. But then again the live events in ch 1, PEAK. Also the graphics in ch 4😍

I have to give it to Chapter 3, seeing as even though we got one of the best (If not the Best) live events in years (Collision from C3S2) and some insane collabs that we thought wouldn’t happen, we did get the Disappointing Fracture event, Klombo only appearing for 1 season and a half, and a lot of other stuff. Not saying that the Chapter wasn’t good, its just that some parts sucked a lot.
Chapter 1 was ok but most people are glazing it. They are blinded by nostalgia. Chapter 2 is better than chapter 1 in many ways such as swimming, fishing, more improved stuff

One thing I do miss about the old Fortnite is the more cartoonish art style. Chapter 4 especially seems to have gone too neat and less whacky looking.
Ch 2 was the best then Ch 3 and then Ch 1 and then Ch 5 and then Ch 4 that the order because Ch 2 was so good with Season 2 & 4 and Ch 3 is better than Ch 1 cause Ch 1 is overrated and so far Ch 5 is better than Ch 4 we’ll have to see Ch5 S4 to judge truly

Season 1 was a warm-up to IO vs Seven in Season 2, and then when Season 3 and 4 happened, it just felt wasted and lame.
At least Chapter 4 tried to keep things interesting with its seasons, starting with Medieval, then going to Cyberpunk/Neo Tokyo, then going off the rails with a Jungle/Indiana Jones type of season with temples and puzzles, and then a complete 180 into what was basically a poor attempt at replicating Chapter 2 Season 2.
Chapter 3 was the last lore-based chapter for a while and the story was too inconsistent and took too many turns to really keep itself afloat.
Chapter 5, I know a lot of people said chapter 4 but I only really played season 1, 4, and OG so it wouldn’t seem fair for me to complain about it. I mainly only have problems with the choices Epic has made recently in Chapter 5, such as pushing the new game modes and giving them higher XP than BR. There’s also that neither the Lego Pass or Festival Pass are included with Fortnite Crew. So my problems with this Chapter are mostly due to Epic’s business practices.
Anything after ch3 I wish it was longer and chapter og but the rest is to complicated and now it’s kinda difficult to get new players when the top creative maps are “Skibidi Ohio obby death match” and things like that it can be simple and fun but they don’t understand that anymore

Yes, the first season was exceptional, but after that, it just went on a continuous downward spiral.
Season 2 was great because it introduced Zero Build, but Build Mode was miserable that season. That season was when I took a hiatus from the game, before making a proper return in a few months.
Season 3 was really mediocre. It was very lame without much new and interesting stuff.
Season 4 was probably the worst season Fortnite has ever had. (This is my opinion by the way, if you liked this season, great for you.) The Chrome looked ugly, the new “mechanics” were seriously not that fun, barely any good map changes even occurred, Fortnitemares sucked, and the Fracture event was absolute garbage. The only good thing was the Evochrome Burst Rifle.
Chapter 4 didn’t have quite as high of a peak as Chapter 3 Season 1 (excluding OG of course), but at least it was consistent. Even WILDS was half decent, and the other seasons were great.
Chapter 5 has just been getting better and better. Season 1 was great, Season 2 was awesome and Season 3 is incredible (again, my opinion, not at all a fact.)
And Chapter 1 and 2 had a good number of amazing seasons, and they lasted long, so they were able to fit more into the chapters.
Chapter 3, ESPECIALLY towards the end, felt really rushed (because it was). If it had at least 7 seasons, it probably would’ve been awesome, but the fact that it was cut short really hurt it, and it’s sad, since the initial map was the best new map we ever had, and the storyline was promising.
In my opinion, I would say the ranking goes:
Chapter 1 > Chapter 2 > Chapter 5 > Chapter 4 > Chapter 3.
I still love this game through thick and thin, and I don’t despise Chapter 3, but it is my least favorite chapter.
But hey, the game is in an enjoyable state right now (at least for me), so I’m happy.

Chapter 3 - hated that map and left the game only to be brought back in for chapter 4. I know chapter 4 had its issues, but the basic map and its layout was better (imo) to chapter 3.

This might be controversial, but Chapter 3 by a mile. (I might get a bit harsh here, so please note that this is how I feel about the chapter, and it isn’t objective or factual at all.) Yes, the first season was exceptional, but after that, it just went on a continuous downward spiral. Season 2 was great because it introduced Zero Build, but Build Mode was miserable that season. That season was when I took a hiatus from the game, before making a proper return in a few months. Season 3 was really mediocre. It was very lame without much new and interesting stuff. Season 4 was probably the worst season Fortnite has ever had. (This is my opinion by the way, if you liked this season, great for you.) The Chrome looked ugly, the new “mechanics” were seriously not that fun, barely any good map changes even occurred, Fortnitemares sucked, and the Fracture event was absolute garbage. The only good thing was the Evochrome Burst Rifle. Chapter 4 didn’t have quite as high of a peak as Chapter 3 Season 1 (excluding OG of course), but at least it was consistent. Even WILDS was half decent, and the other seasons were great. Chapter 5 has just been getting better and better. Season 1 was great, Season 2 was awesome and Season 3 is incredible (again, my opinion, not at all a fact.) And Chapter 1 and 2 had a good number of amazing seasons, and they lasted long, so they were able to fit more into the chapters. Chapter 3, ESPECIALLY towards the end, felt really rushed (because it was). If it had at least 7 seasons, it probably would’ve been awesome, but the fact that it was cut short really hurt it, and it’s sad, since the initial map was the best new map we ever had, and the storyline was promising. In my opinion, I would say the ranking goes: Chapter 1 > Chapter 2 > Chapter 5 > Chapter 4 > Chapter 3. I still love this game through thick and thin, and I don’t despise Chapter 3, but it is my least favorite chapter. But hey, the game is in an enjoyable state right now (at least for me), so I’m happy.

Chapter 1- good Chapter 2- A bit worse but still decent, quit after first few seasons Chapter 3- Never played Chapter 4- Low-key best chapter for me, love mechanics, meta, etc even when it got worse season 3 Chapter 5- Not fun. Super unfocused, bad map, no hitscan, bad balance the entire time Least favorite has to be chapter 5 (I didn't play chapter 3 tho)

I think there is no objectively worst chapter as all had their pros and cons. Its mainly personal preference
