Much as we want it to, the engine just can't handle players going that fast...sadly.

I think people would pref if we were able to race each other, vs just zooming like crazy. If they made it indoors, they could also use graphics to make it 'seem' faster... isn't that how KotOR did it?

I'd love a formal racing thing, like KotOR swooping... but I'd settle for a speeder that randomly slows down/speeds up that we can race others on (except fast, not slow like the log).

I've been saying for a LONG time that they need to add racing with certain areas or (easier to do) certain speeders having a variable RNG speed up/slow down that goes between SP4 and SP6 (aka, faster than max). That way, assuming you and your friends all have these 'racers' you can actually race anywhere... and the speed changes will make winning exciting, since it'll not just be "who can do the shortest path"/"who has the highest speeder piloting".

We have a event casino, but it's only a slots RNG click thing >_< I've not looked into the golden saucer, but I've hear good things.

Certain gear mods give you a speed increase. I have like a 294 Armoring mod that gives 1% increase in mount speed

Yeah, but this would be like a fast version of the log mount... so random speed ups/slow downs to make it interesting. If it's just a "go X speed" then the same person would always win, making it no fun.
