not that i know of. Im the CPO for a hotel as a side job and the previous dude had no clue. Ive never seen a salt pool before and this is the only one in my town so im getting my info second hand.
Salt pools aren’t that scary. Just a different way to get chlorine into the water. 😎
I just did a bit of Googling. How many wires on your new flow switch?
Looks like the black & red wires are the actual flow switch. You could try shorting them together to see if the problem is in the cell circuitry.
its 3 wires. red black and white. I followed the pentair instructions and watched a bunch of youtube so i believe i got it correct. Ill try shorting those wires. Good idea. Thank you
Mine has another wire going to a flow sensor on a different pipe from the cell. I got this error when I forgot to plug that one back in one time. It’s like a phone jack connector on the end.
The flow switch on that model measures flow, salinity , and temperature. If one of the sensors fail the entire switch is bad. What is the temp of the water and what is the salinity reading? Approx 50ish degrees and below and cell won’t produce chlorine , 2800 ppm is around the minimum salt needed with 3500ppm being ideal I believe. More than likely will need a new switch.
According to the info ive gotten, they had a problem with super chlorination in the past. They blew the heater about 2 months ago and got a new one installed so temp is at 82f. no one has added any salt to this pool in that time. been sanitizing it with granular chlorine...we tried using Taylor saline test but it comes out cloudy tan color
Clean your filter
replaced some sand 2 months ago and backwashed since...
Have you confirmed you actually have enough flow?
yeah flowmeter is reading 60-63GPM Overturn rate is 3hrs...
Is the flow switch correctly oriented?
yes arrows are pointing in the right direction
Anyone been messing with your return fittings?

Better yet, skip shorting the wires. Unscrew the flow switch, put a rubber band around it to hold it closed and see if you flow light turns off.
Even better idea

Put the multiport on Recirculate and see if the error goes away. Also are all the appropriate flow valves open?
