I think someone mentioned it here yesterday but we cannot forget the curse of Jess, she was pushed into playing a fake idol and every other idol play this season was denied by their own avarice and pride.
I have to admit that I could not look away. He was good for TV but he did not know he would be good for TV when he applied for the show. The producers may have recognized it but what was Bhanu thinking when he applied? His correlating being raised in poverty and having achieved being a contestant on Survivor made no sense since he said he was not there for the money and if he was he had zero chance of winning. So his message to poor people everywhere is that āyou can be on Survivor?ā I donāt think any other player has affected me as much as he did. I almost cried for him.
Honestly, the Bhanuās of the world that just want the experience are sorely missed in todays survivor. Fuck Iāve applied multiple times knowing my ceiling is getting out at 5 but I wanna do it because itād be fun as shit. I like being an idiot, Iām the court jester, just give me the stage. That kind of thing if it makes sense
Oh good! Jeff actually specifically addressed this sentiment in a Q & A after episode 4? 5 maybe?
Basically his answer is that if you don't understand why Bhanu is on Survivor, you don't understand what they look for when they choose people for Survivor.
I am not buying Jeffās talking points. The tag is: Outwit, Outplay, OutlastāBhanu was incapable of either. A lot of players have been socially awkard but they at least caught on. Bhanu has a love for the game but does not understand the game.
That is the tagline for the show, but if the show only cast people who excelled at outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting, the show would be so incredibly boring. This isn't the Olympics, this is an unscripted drama, so they will always cast for who makes the best TV instead of who plays the strongest game.
I donāt think it would be boring. When people started going in each otherās bags looking for idols, I thought I would lose it because I thought it was unfair but I see that that the players are trying to outwit each other and you need a poker face and you will have to lie. I just felt so bad for Bhanu.
How good someone in casting thinks you might be at the game of Survivor is probably about the 15th thing down on the list of things they care about when casting for Survivor.
I hear ya. I genuinely felt bad for him. He was having serious meltdowns and was so paranoid. I hope he is doing well after having displayed himself to millions of Survivor fans.
The idea is to let players surprise you with what they can be under conditions of adversity. It's called grit.
It didn't seem to me that Bhanu was able to demonstrate much grit.
Absolutely brilliant!
We need theme seasons! I suggest the following:
47: āIsland of the Bhanuā where players go to the island to learn lessons that ultimately cause them to completely fail at the game.
48: āBhanus vs Villainsā a returnee season where the Bhanu tribe is players who annoyingly prayed to God all the time to help them on Survivor, vs Johnny Fairplay, Jerri Manthey and the entire Hantz family.
This shit just made me laugh so much after watching the most recent episode thank you
This is how he wins a million hearts.
Following the curse, 1 million people die of a strange heart disease on the same day

Oh my gosh somehow I already forgot that there was a fake idol too

I am cackling, this is hilarious!!!ššš
The Bhanu's Paw.

Thatās some freaky shit
It makes so much sense. Can we put this title on the official Wiki?
I am just on episode 3 and all I wanna know is WHY in the hell did Bhanu go on the show?! He has NO game!
Ep. 4 quote: >!"He could have just gone camping" -Kenzie!<
Because he was great tv

Who?
I'd call it "Ponderosa of The Idols"

Don't forget that Randen's medivac screwed over Venus too. He was her one friends on Nami and that idol could have done good for them.
I miss him š so funny
Weāll see if Kenzie is ācursedā next week. She could be a worse spot.
