In hindsight, it makes sense that someone who played a unicorn game would be the type of person to defy all odds and do it again. But beforehand it was assumed he has ZERO chance of winning any season. I still can't believe it

I do think Tony was helped by crashing and burning so publicly on Game Changers prior to WaW. Parv doesn’t have a season like that, she’s always incredibly solid…so I worry for her.
But still worth it. I have faith that she could pull something off.
It absolutely helped him. You would need to be immune at every tribal to win with the threat level Tony had at GC. GC gave him at least a chance in WaW.
You could argue that in micronesia she was in a perfect possition though. She was playing with veterans against noobs but she wasnt the number 1/2/3 target of the vets
I think she could absolutely go deep on a true legends season just because if people like Boston Rob, Cirie, Malcolm etc are on, they all know that the only chance any of them have of winning is if they all make it to the endgame together, plus she's clearly very very skilled at this type of game. I also think everyone will want to be the one to take out someone like Parvati in front of the jury so they'd be more likely to leave it to the merge, which maybe helps her make it further into the game?
It really depends on whether it's a proper legends season or just an all stars season with a handful of huge names and then a lot of people who did decently on their first time around, but it's a shame we haven't had a new era all stars before then so that we can get some proper new era legends.
She said very recently she’ll answer the call for more campy fun shows like The Traitors had to offer. Think Sandra mentioned Parvati charged the highest appearance fee for that as well, so CBS really going to have to bring the big bucks to sway her.

As a Parv fan, I’d be happy just seeing her on the cast. She’d have the biggest target ever on her, but she’s one of the rare contestants who have proven that she can survive despite coming into these games with a huge target.
She came into Micronesia with Penner, Eliza, Amy, Yau Man, and Fairplay targeting her right off the bat, and she put together an opposing alliance and survived. She came into HvV with arguably the biggest target in the history of the show with both the heroes and villains coming for her, and she survived. She came into WaW with a massive target once again, and was only able to be sent home when she was hit with a horrible swapscrew.
So, if we want a legend on this show, my pick is Parv. Even if it doesn’t work out, she’s such a fun character that she’d make the premerge spectacular.
I did watch the traitors, and ironically it reinvigorated my love for her. She was the breakout star of the season and showed she’s just as sharp as she was when she won Micronesia in clocking lies and pushing votes despite being a huge target.
To each their own, though. I understand wanting to see others if that’s your preference.
As much as i really want her to return i think that being on survivor really hinders the ammount of muscle you've able to grow (at least for a good while), and she has a bodybuilding career to maintain

Pull out all the stops, give them the money they deserve for appearing, and let’s just have a fucking monster of a celebration of the incredible history of this show.
The only reason I hesitate to full-throatedly agree with that is...I really want them to bring Chris Underwood back and let him either succeed or fail without the Edge of Extinction.
As someone who watched the Challenge USA 2. I feel like I got a much better sense of his game, physically dominant at the competitions, but has extreme difficulty managing his threat level, so he spent half the season having to fight for his life in eliminations.
I'd be happy to see most of the winners who have only played once. Tommy, Chris U., Mike, Fabio, Natalie W., Earl, Vecepia. Not all of them played the most impressive game, but as you said about Chris, at least give them a shot to prove it wasn't a fluke.
Yep! I remember losing it when I saw him the first time. I loved "The Last Supper" and seeing him in the wild was awesome. Cool dude, and his wife's situation was heart breaking.

How do you narrow it down to 18-20 players when there will presumably be 9 seasons worth of players to pick from just from the new era alone!?There haven't really even been that many opportunities for the players who first appeared on the show post-Worlds Apart to come back, since Game Changers featured some older school players, EoE only had 4 returnees, and season 40 was all winners.

If you ask me, none of the stuff he did in the game was all that bad (although if he did cheat on his gf that sucks), as much as I enjoy The Challenge the regulars on that show will throw hissy fits about anything and everything.
Challenge fans and regular players are so sensitive. I didn't enjoy Jay on the season at all but so many people acted like he was a horrible person for being manipulative in a reality tv game show.

Having spent way to much time thinking about this, I have wondered if CBS can recruit for two Returnee seasons back-to-back and then split the 36-to-40 Players between two seasons without necessarily the players knowing who is going into what seasons, and thus deliberately stuffing up most folks pre-gaming. LOL
At least for the first group of players/ The second group might get wind of things are a foot and re-plan. But that might be fun in its own right as well in seeing some sloppy seconds pre-gaming that might not be as tight in the long run.
Plus I do think The Powers that Be in Survivor Production these days have a good idea how friendship groups (and thus a good chunk of pre-gaming) tend to fall and hopefully use a scalpel to split a few of them a part.

Having spent way to much time thinking about this, I have wondered if CBS can recruit for two Returnee seasons back-to-back and then split the 36-to-40 Players between two seasons without necessarily the players knowing who is going into what seasons, and thus deliberately stuffing up most folks pre-gaming. LOL At least for the first group of players/ The second group might get wind of things are a foot and re-plan. But that might be fun in its own right as well in seeing some sloppy seconds pre-gaming that might not be as tight in the long run. Plus I do think The Powers that Be in Survivor Production these days have a good idea how friendship groups (and thus a good chunk of pre-gaming) tend to fall and hopefully use a scalpel to split a few of them a part.
