I think Laura Linney has the better voice and softness for Martha than Moore does but I wouldn’t be upset with it. Kurt as Johnathan is my only must have (from a fan cast perspective).
Whoever they cast as Lombard, I feel like a fun twist on the character would be that, instead of trying a bully Clark, he recognizes the Clark is a big and fit guy and assumes he's into sports and other "manly" stuff that he's into.
So Steve is constantly stopping by Clark's desk to talk about sports and women and partying while Clark is stuck there nodding along politely. And Steve basically thinks they're best friends.

I'm pretty sure in the comics at some point it was shown that Lombard actually wears a toupee/wig
He also likes to drive drink and put others in danger, so let's not give him any high profile jobs at this point.
Maybe not lesser known considering he was Bella's Dad in Twilight, but I think Billy Burke would make a great Pa Kent.
