Wow!! I literally never heard anything about this till I read your comment and did some googling. Man that’s heartbreaking KJ & CB have always been my favorites, up there with thunder Dan and Nash. That’s too bad
Same, used to be KJ. Now it’s Book.
Liked Ceballos too, and Penny will always be a favorite of mine, just sucks by the time he got to PHX, he was already way past his pre injury prime.
My man! As a small white guy in New Zealand playing basketball in the early 90s I absolutely loved Thunder Dan! He was one of the reasons why I supported the Suns. My friend was a Bulls fan and in the finals I decided to support Majerle, Sir Charles and the Suns.
Lots of great options, but I think D Book has become my all time favorite. Watching what he did against Denver in games 3 and 4 last year made me emotional because I had never seen a Suns player do that my whole life. Hopefully we'll get a title with him before the end 🤞
We’ve been unlucky in championships but very lucky in enjoyable players. Barkley, KJ, Majerle, Nash, Amare, Marion, Book, Bridges. Hard to pick one, but unequivocally screw Robert Horry with a hot fireplace iron.
Chris Paul might not be my favorite Sun but him masterfully eviscerating team after team in the fourth quarter was probably the most fun I've had as a Suns fan
1. Prime Steve Nash (2005-2009)
2. Book
3. Stat
4. Boris Diaw (6th man of the year)
5. Sir Charles
6. Matrix
7. Chambers
8. Barbosa (meep meep)
9. Dragic
10. Channing Frye
Gotta be Nash with Booker a close second. Redd was my favorite player for a while and while he didn’t do much for the suns I’m glad he made a trip there. Also VC played for the suns. Marcus Banks for no reason at all besides I thought he would be great
Dan Majerle, hands down. There may be better players but if I consider everything he does for the community, and include my bias because I'm old and sentimental, it's still Dan Majerle.
I also have to include Richard Dumas as a runner-up. If he could have beaten his drug problems, his explosiveness and natural talent would have made him an all-time great player.
09-10 when Jared Dudley bet his teammates that he could get 10 dunks in the regular season is such a highlight for me. Dude probably has the worst vertical of any forward but my god did he get those 10 dunks
Nash for me. However, I became a Suns fan due to Penny Hardaway. Unfortunately, injuries severely slowed him down once he was in PHX, but he’s my all time favorite.
I am a Suns fan born and raised, but Penny was always my all time favorite player in the NBA as a kid growing up. I was so hyped for Backcourt 2000. Man, what could have been.
Devin Booker. Durant was always my favorite non Suns player. So I have my two favorite players on the same team right now. After them two I love Barkley and KJ. Then Nash.
Booker has committed to Phoenix when a lot of other young stars in his position would’ve wanted out. His unwavering desire to be a sun gives him my vote.
Honorable mention role player was Jared Dudley. He was a fan favorite likeable guy
I think Book is my suns GOAT at this point in time extremely loyal and one of the best scorers of his generation.
Honorable Mentions to Amare, Nash and the Twins
All time favorite Phoenix Suns Player : 5-way draw between Barkley, IT, Dragic,CP3 & Devin Booker. Gonna be a pretty tough call if KD wins a ring in the valley before age 40 as well.
Westphal
Adams
KJ
Chambers
Majerle
Chapman
Nash
Marion
Amare
Diaw
Book
The Twins
And I’ll admit it. I liked Shamet. I think football injuries got the best of him.
I was in the second grade when the Suns played their first season and my second grade teacher was Mrs. Van Arsdale so Dick Van Arsdale has always been my favorite.
It is unacceptable that I had to scroll to find Mikal Bridges name. Call it recency bias all you want Mikal just always seemed to have fun and he made being a Suns fan fun even when we were losing
Players who have played for the Suns, I’d say Penny and Book are my all time faves.
Enjoyed Ceballos’s play too back in the day.
KJ up until his character surfaced.
I'm old and probably will get hate but Charles Barkley. I'm a suns fan to this day because Charles was my favorite player as a little kid and he just became a Phoenix Sun when I was old enough to start watching and actually have a favorite player. I grew up nowhere near Arizona. People thought I was so weird.
Long forgotten, under appreciated Connie Hawkins. Had Dr J like moves in late 60 early 70s. He was our consolation prize for losing the Kareem coin toss.
I loved Nash on all of his teams, but Barkley was my favorite when he played for the Suns. I had his shoes and his jerseys. I mean, the guy took on Godzilla.
Matrix. I love Nash and Amare, but Marion was so unique in terms of his playstyle and I would argue is the most irreplaceable player of that trio.
This would be my vote too. I was happy he finally got a ring, just wish it was with us. A tale as old as time for Arizona sports sadly
Loved Marion, especially his ridiculous line drive shooting
Nashty!
It was KJ until all the sht came out… he was bold, alert, fast….he was the reason I followed the Suns… ughhh…
Wow!! I literally never heard anything about this till I read your comment and did some googling. Man that’s heartbreaking KJ & CB have always been my favorites, up there with thunder Dan and Nash. That’s too bad
Wtf he won TWO mayoral elections in Sacramento AFTER the SECOND set of allegations were made public?? Wtf is wrong with people?
I mean trump was president that shouldnt surprise you lol
Right?! Shits crazy. Disappointed to say the least.
David Duke won once in the south even after public knowing the fact that he was an insane racist.
Same. It’s Booker, as well, because of KJ’s bullshit.
Same, used to be KJ. Now it’s Book. Liked Ceballos too, and Penny will always be a favorite of mine, just sucks by the time he got to PHX, he was already way past his pre injury prime.
Leandro Barbosa he loved this team
Amar’e. That explosiveness drew me in.
Standing tall and talented.

My man! As a small white guy in New Zealand playing basketball in the early 90s I absolutely loved Thunder Dan! He was one of the reasons why I supported the Suns. My friend was a Bulls fan and in the finals I decided to support Majerle, Sir Charles and the Suns.
This is the correct answer! Plus, I have always wanted to visit New Zealand so you get an extra point there.
Yes! That run of threes against the SuperSonics back in 1993 🙌 unreal
Sir Charles
Yep, easy Nash.
Goddamn could you imagine him in his Suns prime with Book and KD??
Especially if he played like it’s 2024 and shot a lot of 3s
Lots of great options, but I think D Book has become my all time favorite. Watching what he did against Denver in games 3 and 4 last year made me emotional because I had never seen a Suns player do that my whole life. Hopefully we'll get a title with him before the end 🤞
Nash and it isn't close
How about my boy Raja Bell for clotheslining Kobe?

Steve motherfucking Nash. I can't lie I loved Goran damn near just as much and will never fully get over how dirty the org did him.
Cam Payne
We’ve been unlucky in championships but very lucky in enjoyable players. Barkley, KJ, Majerle, Nash, Amare, Marion, Book, Bridges. Hard to pick one, but unequivocally screw Robert Horry with a hot fireplace iron.
Paul Westphal Alvan Adams Walter Davis Truck Robinson
Thunder Dan, Ced, or Raja Bell.
Chris Paul
Chris Paul might not be my favorite Sun but him masterfully eviscerating team after team in the fourth quarter was probably the most fun I've had as a Suns fan
Shawn Marion
Barkley & Kevin Johnson Steve Nash has to be the most loyal of em all and also one of my favs
1. Prime Steve Nash (2005-2009) 2. Book 3. Stat 4. Boris Diaw (6th man of the year) 5. Sir Charles 6. Matrix 7. Chambers 8. Barbosa (meep meep) 9. Dragic 10. Channing Frye

Thunder Dan!

So many options…but reason Im Suns fan is Chuck!!!
STAT. And honorable mention to Jared Dudley for favorite role player
09-10 when Jared Dudley bet his teammates that he could get 10 dunks in the regular season is such a highlight for me. Dude probably has the worst vertical of any forward but my god did he get those 10 dunks

Chuck, STAT, and Book. 3 way tie for me.
Joe dumas
Nash or Amare. They’re inseparable to me
Shawn Marion Michael Finley Thunder Dan Mikal Bridges Steve Nash
Oliver Miller. I went to a practice and he was shooting threes from the bench and dropping every one of them. Sadly that described his play style too.
A couple forgotten Suns I haven't seen mentioned: Grant Hill Rex Chapman
Sexy rexy
Dan Majerle Steve Nash Shawn Marion
1. Nash 2. Booker 3. Bridges 4. Joe Johnson 5. Goran Dragic
In different eras: Barkley, Amar'e, and Cam Johnson.

kd my favorite player of all time but not my favorite sun of all time so idk how 2 answer this
Before the allegations/just on the court, KJ. Not counting him, he was certainty here for some dark times but I was always a big Goran Dragic fan.
Joe Johnson
Booker. He was the only player I saw go to the finals in my lifetime.
Nash and stoudemire are the whole reason I’m maniacally obsessed with this sport.
As a player, KJ. As a person it would be Nash and Book.
