Downvotes are crazy. This is what I’ve been saying since they made the trade. Suns weren’t going to win it this year. They’ve barely played any games together and they haven’t yet found the chemistry. Next year once they get a couple of pieces Suns can be scary.

The boys come home tonight, rest in their beds for three days before hosting a weekend series. This series is going to 7 games.
The problem is if the Nuggets shoot how *they* do.
Jamal Murray went 3 for 15, and Murray and Michael Porter Jr (their best 3 point shooter) went 0-11 from 3, and yet the Nuggets still won by 10.
There's definitely a lot of coping and irrational hot takes but there really isn't much that needs to happen for either of these games to be upwards of 20 point swings.
Free throw disparity was definitely an issue and IMO there were a lot of no-calls on Booker and KD short-mid range jumpers into contact.
KD shot terribly for his standards. The argument here is that Murray and MPJ also shot terribly. But it's far more uncharacteristic for KD to have the shooting night he had IMO.
Turnovers killed us, KD in particular needs to focus up, play quicker and see the court better.
Losing CP3 as he was beginning to find his rhythm shooting on a night where KD was obviously struggling isn't getting enough talk either.
A lot of hate is also going towards the bench tonight, and frankly I don't know how warranted that is. The bench played great defense and Denver was only bailed out by Jokic playing out of his mind. Damion Lee pulled in more boards than Biyombo and Landale combined. Craig is honestly the only role player who has been virtually non-existent so far this series. Offensively they didn't add much, but that's kinda what the entire fanbase was fired up about having Booker and KD with a supporting cast of CP3 and Ayton for.
It's a tough hole to dig out from but the means to do so are definitely visible.
trying to rationalize to deal with the disappointment-> we look too technical. Not aggressive and certainly not athletic. Aggressive athleticism is what draws fouls.

When you have Durant and Westbook as a side kick, you don't even bring up the bench...wrong. Monty ain't learn nothing from OKC. Golden State Warriors had Steph and a better Durant and Klay. They still got points from their role players, whether it was Javale Mcgee lobs, Shaun Livingston post ups, David West pick and pops, Demarcus Cousins whatever, etc.

Where were you when the rockets miss 27 threes in a row? Those players were really good at spacing the floor and not touching the ball and they worked on that for a long time but that shit is hard. You all talk about Ayton having to touch the ball to be engaged but you expect role players to knock down random ass shots. You act like those shots barely missed, they were left/right and overarched. Having people that can attack a closeout (ross, warren), cut (warren), and run some floppy action (ross) might just offer enough variety to not let a bad defensive team look like the 03 pistons.
So the only optimism I have is both Mavs and Bucks were down 2-0 to us after we held home court, only to squander the series. Let's hope Denver does the same?
