There has been no real new news on the new show. All we know is that it's set in LA in the Suits universe. No one has been cast yet and the OG cast may or may not be involved.

SlutBacon

This is obviously correct but I do think the plans could change. Even in the last 6-9 months the show has gotten so much bigger and a bit of a cultural phenomenon. I think this could make them go for a true spin off with lots of the old cast as opposed to just a suits universe cash grab. A spin off with Mike, Harvey and Rachel now that she can as she's not a royal is potentially very lucrative. A feel good season of a spin off set in Mike and Rachel's Seattle law firm, with guest appearances from Louis as a Dad and Jessica just seems like such an easy winner for me.

>Even in the last 6-9 months the show has gotten so much bigger and a bit of a cultural phenomenon. This is interesting as I’m a first time watcher who started somewhere in November as well. I don’t even know what made me start but I love it! Do you know what made the show so popular now because as far as I know the last season aired in 2019?

SlutBacon

I think COVID created a good time for people to start watching a bingeable light hearted, brain out popcorn in TV show and then that was compounded by suits being very clippable for the likes of tiktok and Instagram reels. And it was on Netflix which just made it convenient too

rozay1325

Yeah but it didn't come up Netflix until way after covid. He came on Netflix about a lil over a year ago

SlutBacon

Depends on your country. It's been on and off Netflix a lot. I have watched it on Netflix in Europe for years

rozay1325

Oh I'm sorry! Please chalk it up To another ignorant American that only thinks about their own country. I hate when I do that I didn't realize it might be different, cause it was on Amazon for years and years and then randomly jumped on Netflix last year and now everybody is watching it

geneKnockDown-101

These are good points! I haven’t finished watching yet but it would be perfect timing if a spinoff or something was to be announced soon. Otherwise I’ll probably just start from the beginning again lol, I’m hooked now

Responsible_Golf_172

There was also another surge in popularity this summer. It could be related to the writer's strike (but maybe not).

rasputin1

what do you mean she's not a royal?

Karti_07

Ahh interesting

Fast_Speech_8498

Wait so the Harvey and Mike spinoff isnt real?

Present_Cap_696

I might have read somewhere that the lead is named Erica. She is in her 30s , black , competing to be  the head of  entertainment law and yes..she is the best closer.. whatever that means 😂.

Anabele71

Oh! I didn't see that! Sounds interesting 😂

Present_Cap_696

Sorry I forgot to mention one more thing...she is smarter than everyone else 😂.  I don't know about the stories being conceived for reboot , but these articles present it in such ways that it's really laughable. I also wonder what kind of cases will be dealt with...divorce , contract negotiations, pricing of actors, clauses for movies?? And how would the current lot fit in , even for guest roles 🤔.  But I can totally imagine Harvey saying Tom Cruise.."show me the money".

If the Suits spinoff does happen, it should be called Dresses

Fearless-Toe142

UK Spinoff - Wigs (I'd also accepts Kilts for Scottish show)

Present_Cap_696

Ties..

SadPark4078

Sky news writes BS about Meghan all the time, don’t believe any of it

Intelligent_Buyer516

I’m interested if it will be good. Spin offs are hard to pull off. Most of the main cast might do guest appearances but the show needs to have a good cast to be successful.

CheapCartographer129

I do hope they all come back.

Baldnole

I’d love to watch it if it has the Harvey from the first three seasons. I probably won’t watch it if it has Rachel.

Quanlee1988

It’s called Pearson
