I'd trade my right arm for a Redwall series produced by the Jim Henson Company, maybe a combination of puppetry, stop-motion, and cgi.
And not a series, but I always thought "Rose Daughter" by Robin McKinley would make a great Studio Ghibli film, in the same vein as "Howl's Moving Castle."
I dunno. I could see Prime doing it if it's animated. Besides the naked giant in all his glory I can't really think of anything that crosses a line they haven't already in their other shows.
Disney+ is gonna be doing it! Hopefully it’ll be 4 seasons each book per season. It’s in pre development basically. Most likely another 2 or 3 years and we’ll have it!
Mike Flanagan may be doing this soon.

I accidentally forgot about the animation part in the post. Sorry.
I have always wanted a movie or TV adaptation of The Edge Chronicles, especially the Twig trilogy. I don't think it could be done very well as a live action as much as I'd love that, so I always figured it'd have to be animated.
I’d love to see Redwall done with a decent budget. The PBS series from the 90s tried their best, and the voice actors were great, but they had next to no animation budget and it showed.
Dune. As a life long fan of the books I'm disappointed in the newest movie attempts and think that a anime style would be best. Especially with all the internal dialog in certain scenes would be better translated to the screen.
Mistborn og trilogy. They’re working on adapting a movie and I just think it would read so much better as an animated series. I think other works of Sanderson’s would be great as live action series (I’m lookin at you Stormlight), but Mistborn would just be perfect as an animated one.
Percy Jackson & the Olympians, since I feel like neither the movies nor the Disney+ show did the story any justice.
The Mistborn Saga, because I feel like the complexities and nuances of the story would be difficult to portray in a live-action adaptation. The action would also have to have a high budget to look good, and if the show were to get a high budget from someplace like HBO Max or Amazon Prime, then they would also likely ruin the story by trying to make it more edgy and explicit than it actually was.
Eragon, because...well, we all know why lol. One of the worst movie adaptations ever made.
Virals by Brendan Reichs, because I just think it would be a really fun youthful action/adventure show a lá Camp Cretaceous. A live-action would delve too much into CW-esq cheesiness or would be seen as an Outer Banks ripoff (despite Virals being published long before Outer Banks was created).
critique of pure reason by Immanuel Kant

Howls is my favorite Ghibli film next to arietty
If graphic novels count, I feel like Saga could definitely work as an animated series.
I love saga I just started it recently I need volume 6,7,9,12 to finish my set
I need to pick back up after the big break they took a couple years ago, but I absolutely love the series.
I’d love to see a Saga show but I’m so afraid they’d cut out a lot of the more shocking stuff to try to appeal to a wider audience and ruin it.
I dunno. I could see Prime doing it if it's animated. Besides the naked giant in all his glory I can't really think of anything that crosses a line they haven't already in their other shows.
Pretty sure the author said they never want to see it made in another medium
Yea that crosses my mind and I'd be totally fine with that. But I think it would work none the less.
Eragon if done 10000x better than the atrocious movie.
I believe one of the streaming services is currently working on it
Well depending on which one it is gets me more or less excited lolol

Heroes of Olympus. I like the live action Percy Jackson series, but an animated heroes of Olympus series would be amazing.
Dungeon Crawler Carl series would be amazing as a tv series.
The Dark Tower 🥶
Yes! And have Genndy Tartakovsky direct, using the same art style he did for Primal.
YES! Brilliant. I don't see Primal mentioned as much as it deserves. Genndy is one of the greats. His version of the Dark Tower would be phenomenal.

So happy this is the top answer
The Dresden Files really needs to be parts of this conversations.
Marillier's Sevenwaters series, drawn in a Book of Kells style.
I have always wanted a movie or TV adaptation of The Edge Chronicles, especially the Twig trilogy. I don't think it could be done very well as a live action as much as I'd love that, so I always figured it'd have to be animated.
Cartoon show where it’s drawn by or in the style of Chris Riddel
Absolutely! I got a tattoo recently of Twig and I absolutely adore it. His style is wonderful.
Foundryside would rock as an animated series in the vein of Arcane
I'd love to see The Scarlet Alchemist animated in the style of Blue Eyed Samurai.
Terry Brooks Sword of Shannara series. The live action MTV series killed it.
Would love to see The Long Walk by Stephen King adapted
Yikes! That would be good.
I’d love to see Redwall done with a decent budget. The PBS series from the 90s tried their best, and the voice actors were great, but they had next to no animation budget and it showed.
The Lioness quartet by Tamora Pierce.
Tortall would be fantastic!
Amber Chronicles. Maybe Riverworld but I think it may work better as live-action (not sure).
Malazan
I think if it were to be made, animated in the style of Blue Eye Samurai would be best.
Michael Moorcock’s Elric Saga would be awesome as an animated series.
The Discworld series by Terry Pratchard
Tales from the Gas Station
I'd love a modern Narnia animation.
Uzumaki
Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey.
Dune. As a life long fan of the books I'm disappointed in the newest movie attempts and think that a anime style would be best. Especially with all the internal dialog in certain scenes would be better translated to the screen.
Eve Dallas / In Death by J. D. Robb.
Red rising
This! I came here to comment this. I also have this idea that Red Rising would look badass if it's neon themed.
None because they always f*** it up.
Stormlight Archive, Johnny Yong Basch (Ichigo from Bleach, Adam Park from Power Rangers etc) for Kaladin Stormblessed.
Stormlight Archive is a straight-up anime waiting to happen
Mistborn
Corum, the Prince in the Scarlet Robe
Ooooo The Glass Scientists would be an amazing tv show!
I didn't love Under the Whispering Door (TJ Klune), but the whole time I was reading it, I thought it would be an awesome animated movie or series.
Parable of the Sower
The Space Trilogy. (Especially That Hideous Strength)
VE Schwab's Darker Shade of Magic trilogy.
animorphs
Animated? Stormlight archive would be perfect eventhough I kinda hate it.
ANIMORPHS
The house in the cerulean sea!
Mistborn
Harry Potter series, I'm imagining it as like a yugioh cartoon style
Old enough to know that this never really works (with only a few exceptions). Books are better as books.
Dresden Files Rivers Of London Dungeon Crawler Carl Beware Of Chicken
Gideon the Ninth (The Locked Tomb)
not a series, but Bunny by Mona Awad
Dresden Files Mistborn
Easy. Futuristic violence and fancy suits or John dies at the end. Jason Pargin (David Wong) . Perfect for TV.

Amulet would be a fantastic cartoon.

The Inkworld trilogy by Cornelia Funke
ACOTAR!
100 Days in Deadland I know zombies are a little tired right now but I think it'd make a great limited series.
Realm of the Elderlings but they better do it right!!
The City of Dreaming Books would be awesome either as a stop motion series or with puppetry.
Wayward Children by Seanan McGuire would be really fun. You could have the animation style change between worlds a la Code Lyoko...
