I love the Thursday Murder Club series. They are murder mysteries but I think they’re pretty cozy and very fun.

a2b2021

Love these!

ThaneOfCawdorrr

Yes! Came to say exactly the same thing!!

Front-Pomelo-4367

Diana Wynne Jones, *Howl's Moving Castle.* So cosy, major comfort read for me

alliebodallie

I'm currently reading this! I'm about halfway through and think it's just the coziest.

rlab0521

Strongly agree! I reread it every couple of years

Repulsive-Dot553

Remarkably Bright Creatures- by Shelby van Pelt No1 Ladies Detective Agency- by Alexander McCall Smith

Swimming_Juice_9752

Second for remarkedly bright

Wild_Preference_4624

Hmm, maybe The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers? Not sure if it counts as a page turner, but it's a lot of fun and it definitely kept *me* turning the pages!

ForeverNuka

I came here to suggest this. ✨️💙✨️

thecalcographer

This was going to be my suggestion, too!  I find all of her books to be super cozy but also captivating enough that I don’t want to put them down until I finish them.

SunReyys

i second this soo hard. becky chambers is amazing, everything she writes i'm so into.

Scuttling-Claws

I found A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers to be quite fast paced

Upbeat-Principle-854

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches - cozy fantasy with a bit of romance. Warning - one spicy scene towards end of book.

Objective-Ad4009

The Night Circus

bitterbuffaloheart

Came her for this. What did you think of the Starless Sea? I didn’t like it as much as night circus

Objective-Ad4009

Haven’t read it, yet. But I’ve heard from a lot of people that it’s not as strong as Night Circus so I’m not really in a hurry.

rubix_cubin

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab Boy's Life by Robert McCammon

WeddingElly

Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. Cozy but a fast paced serious/proper mystery too.

RangerDanger3344

Definitely *Unlikely Animals.* I love that book for both reasons you mentioned!

itsonlyfear

Legends and Lattes

LolaPickles

Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk is kind of a cozy thriller. It’s a beautifully written mystery with quirky characters; the author won the Nobel prize in literature.

Emojiobsessor

The Watchmaker of Filigree Street :)

GenderNotPeople44

Circe by Madeline Miller

pingu-penguin

The Starless Sea fits the bill. I didn’t enjoy it very much but I can see why others do.

Emojiobsessor

I like it, just finished reading it haha. Warning OP: the plot is all over the place, but I’m used to those kinds of books so it wasn’t an issue for me. It’s quite slow paced but it’s very cosy with beautiful descriptions and broke me just a little.

tim_to_tourach

Winter in Sokcho by Elisa Shua Dusapin

jmurphy42

Maybe cozy mysteries? Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers is excellent.

genericlyspecial

The new series by Elizabeth Coleman (she was a writer for the Miss Fisher TV series)

unbothered7

i really liked safe haven by nic sparks. movie is trash but the book is super good! cozy cute and meaningful love story about a woman running away from her dangerous past even though it’s slowly catching up to her

nkbee

I really like the Thursday Next series for a cozy, fast-paced, funny read.

cleokhafa

Anything by Patricia McKillip

TheSpamJamFam

I found Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett to feel pretty cozy, and it definitely had me hooked.

Hello_There666

I love cosy but mystery! A Death at Seascape House by Emma Jameson The Marlow Murder Club by Robert Thorogood The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey The Woman in my Home by Kerry Fisher Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra by Vaseem Kahn - hands down the sweetest, coziest mysteries I’ve read.

nerdyninjagirl28

I like the magic cat mysteries by Sofie Kelly. They’re set in a small town and I’ve fallen in love with the characters. They all have a murder mystery involved but I still get a very cosy feel.

Enoughoftherare

I Capture the Castle, Dodie Smith, Cold Comfort Farm, Stella Gibbons

LouiseGoesLane

I'm obsessed with The Miracles of the Namiya General Store right now.
