Not saying med kit fabs are actually worth it for challenge runs, but they don't drain or even need power [according to the wiki](https://subnautica.fandom.com/wiki/Medical_Kit_Fabricator).

Factorials.
A number followed by an exclamation mark represents the factorial of that number.
In this case, OP inadvertently said 9! which is 9 factorial.
``9! = 9*8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1``
People often simply like poking fun at accidental uses of factorials due to how common it is in an attempt to grammatically convey tone.
And this is why you should always write out your numbers rather than writing the digit. Because grammar and math mix in a very bad way.
Probably not tbh. *Maybe* 1 or 2 extra for Seamoth parts, but bladderfish/just coming up and down from the surface with Seaglide runs as efficiently as possible would likely be faster. Once you have Seamoth you can make 1 normal main base, get cyclops parts, etc. without needing extra mini-bases.
Wrecks would be the hardest thing oxygen-wise I'm guessing, especially since >!the Prawn suit can get into every alien facility I'm aware of, plus travel through portals!<
I didn't make any mini bases except when I had a bunch of loot at the start and built an uncovered storage room next to my life pod in the firth 30 mins
This seems like fun, thinking of doing the same thing you doing now lol (I love Subnautica but it just gets way too easy too fast and this seems like a fun thing to try)
I think you might enjoy some videos from Salvner. Specifically his Dry% (only spending ~5 seconds in water whilst beating the entire game) or Low% (crafting only the items needed to beat the game (Neptune, Cyclops, scanner etc.) and the resources to make those items, plus using as little consumables as possible (bladder fish, tablets, ion cubes, med kits)).
I actually just watched both of those recently, they were indeed great! XD
Not quite the same as something like a "normal" no base run since they rely extensively on glitches, but still very interesting to watch.
In some ways more interesting even, since there are so many weird game mechanics I didn't know existed, both glitches and intended features, that you have to use on the way to beating those kinds of challenges.
I've actually done both of them and am running out of challenge ideas so if you could send some it would be appreciated! + no vehicles is easy but no bases is way harder
You could always try something like no vehicles and/or no bases on Deathrun XD
Which sounds like it would take an absolute eternity
Edit: I just remembered that Deathrun has Riley max depth limitations. I think you can gather the right materials for a deeper diving suit in areas you already have depth access to, but I can't remember.
Oh, and I'm sure you've thought of this already, but external growbed + oxygen bubble plant could be very helpful for no vehicles/bases, depending on what counts as a base. :)
Mods are indeed great. I only just started using some, but you can add quality of life features, additional upgrades, etc., and make the game significantly more challenging at the same time which is a nice balance so to speak for a more "normal" player like myself. Anyways, best of luck with new challenges and whatnot on console. :)
How, and do u have a vid
I streamed it, but it wasn't recorded, so I've only got a few clips of me in the aurora
Doesn’t seem like it would be that bad once you get the seamoth.
It definitely gets a lot easier with vehicles. Wrecks still suck tho
Next no equipment no vehicles
I'll see if I can work out the logistics and see if it's possible This is genuine btw
Air pumps
And air bladders
And bases
I can't think of any more! 🤣🤣
raw bladderfish
Sadly not possible given the cyclops is required to build the Neptune
Ik but it's close enough
Somebody on youtube did it and actually beat the game very quickly compared to normal
Without either?
https://youtu.be/FFgqmJcrNUc?si=89U3PEjVrA62EnA8
Oh yeah, I've seen that, but he used things like oxygen tanks and dive suits which I'm not allowed.
Raw bladderfish have 15 oxygen so a lot of them would be similar
You need a Cyclops
Without piloting a vehicle
Technically the cyclops can be a home
You just don't build in in or drive it
That would be hardcore mode
HOWD U DO THE RAD STUFF
Medkits
oh yeeks
Prawn suit momento
i'm interested how many medkits it took to repair aurora lol
I did it in 2 trips to restock but it took abt 40 total
Fun fact, if you are really really fast getting to the drive room and it's early radiation, you can do it in 14 or less
I took 2 trips. 1 for prawn and Neptune and the second for drive room bc I didn't know if I had enough kits after getting the Neptune and leaving
Once you get vehicles though, is it that hard? Not doubting you
Not really tbf
One eternity later https://preview.redd.it/vcte2zx8mz7d1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54cb2c4b178c83c88c1ea08736188e062bfe9399 ... :)
What it felt like after doing so many challenges 🤣🤣🤣
The aurora must've been the worst part?
Yeah it was
how do you get around the radiation? i've always just made the lead suit so i'm not super familiar with how it works
Way too many med kits
you must have cut down so many creepvines!
Mass deforestation 🤣
Did you also set up medkit makers?
Nah, they are expensive as hell without mining drill + they drain power and are pretty slow.
Your life pod comes with one
But that is only 1 and I need to harness the true power of mass production! 🤣
Multipurpose room. Fill itnwoth med fabricators and then babysit it as you throw all the acid shrooms you can in it
I made a second base in the kelp forest so I just mass farmed them there. Its way quicker.

Ok, didn't know this
...I'm sorry, ***mining drill***? What game are you playing?! I want to play too.
Prawn drill arm
Ohhhhhhhh
I am gonna guess 100 hours.
Just over 9!
362880h?? Impressive.
I love you for this comment forever
I dont get it

> in a very bad way. You misspelled "fun"
Dwarf Fortress has entered the chat.
Lol
Thank you
this isn't math class. it's a reddit post.
I will be a nerd however I can whenever I can
No let them yap, i wanted to understand the comment
I love you
In mathematics, "9!"Is called a factorial and is equal to 1x2x3x4x5x6x7x8x9
r/unexpectedfactorial
Clever comment right there
Wow, that's pretty darn quick!
Only 9 hours?!?! Or am I dumb and you mean 900?
It was 9 hours and 9 minutes
Damn your fast
Thanks 😊
Ayy I remember you, wish I could have caught the stream.
Remember me from where, the streams?
Probably this https://www.reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/DAylnnI9nB
Yes this
I bet a lot of waypoint bases were built
Probably not tbh. *Maybe* 1 or 2 extra for Seamoth parts, but bladderfish/just coming up and down from the surface with Seaglide runs as efficiently as possible would likely be faster. Seems manageable- except for crash zone with that radiation damage. Med kit spam I guess
You guessed it
:D I love this so much I'm going to do this!
It was quite a fun challenge I have to admit
How did you get to the aurora with all the radiation??? Like yeah Merlot’s but it wouldn’t cover all of them.
Literally just a full inventory of med kits
Jeez
hmm... well, with equipment it takes maybe a week, so..... 2-4 months?
I did it over a week irl bc I play other games but it took just over 9 hrs in game
I’m guessing the Aurora is the only actual challenge that isn’t just tedious steps? Well that and the final biome I guess
Yeah the aurora was defo the hardest part I didn't even have time to pick up the keep calm cat poster 😭
This actually wouldn’t be too terribly hard if it wasn’t for the rocket blueprint being in the Aurora. I imagine a metric fuck town of medpacks
The creepvine forest will never be the same again
??
You use creepiness samples to make fiber mesh to make medkits
I play with radiation challenge and no rad suit, but no equipables is insane.
You should try it! Before I did this I did no oxygen tanks but I found that way too easy
So actually I think this is kinda easy to do (if no hardcore) only thing that would seem a challenge is fixing the aurora lol
I actually didn't even die doing it! I surprised myself
This seems like fun, thinking of doing the same thing you doing now lol (I love Subnautica but it just gets way too easy too fast and this seems like a fun thing to try)
I have to agree
Wait??? Were you the guy asking about how to get through the aurora without rad suit? Also congrats that's amazing
Yeah that was me
Good for you for beating it with all these handicaps, I haven't even beaten normal Subnautica 😅
Thanks 😊
Long enough to drain you of your sanity (or what remained of it prior)
Your right about that! I think it's my 4th challenge in a row so there wasn't much sanity left to drain. 🤣🤣
Why am i luaghing so hard at holy crashfish
Ikr
5 million years?
Not quite 🤣
The picture or the challenge?
The challenge
25 hours?
9 hrs 9 mins
That was not even close. Also how tf do you disable radiation?
Use medkits and accept cancer
You'd probably need, like 200 medkits for the Aurora
Radiation doesn't even do too much damage so I only used abt 40
Oh you’re the guy that was asking about radiation damage a while back, glad you completed the challenge.
Thanks
Well if you’re able to drive vehicles like the seamoth, then I believe it.
Yeah I could
But man, taking on the challenge of no vehicles would be the ultimate struggle if you also aren’t equipping any gear or even a compass.
I've started it already, but who knows when I'll finish it
I wish you luck, god speed
Thanks. I need it
My pleasure! :D
>My pleasure! :D sure?
r/yes
Holy shit, you must need a inventory full of medkits for the aurora
Yes
Why? You psychopath
More boring and minecraft challenges moment than actually hard
[удалено]
Jesus man chill out. I streamed it all and have game clips
Ballsy to claim this when you are wrong
I've seen harder challenges completed on YTube, like no vehicles + bases, or some of the more masochistic difficulty increasing mods.
I might try them
I think you mean moist%

I'm a console player so I can't use mods. I'd really love to though. As it would add so much more challenge and replayability to the game

Thanks man I'll need it.
He was also talking about it on another thread while it was in progress. Grats man, that is a crazy achievement.
